The check in process was super easy, and the staff very helpful. I like the fact that the property is privately owned, the owners were super cool. I had three meals at the Greek restaurant next door to the hotel. I highly recommend staying here as it is convenient and comfortable.

This was a last minute booking due to the original one cancelling. We arrived 1am and they had someone available to check us in which was the most stressful part of our trip. We were there for less than half a day but it was perfect for what we needed. Right across the road is the free buses back to the airport as well :) so don't worry about another uber cost there.

We weren't 100% sure if our bedding had been changed. We had blood stains on the sheets and on the top cover and ended up sleeping without any blankets that night and turning the heater on.

Excellent and helpful communication with management and staff. Was able to arrange an early check-in for a small fee (the Sunset Ltd arrived over an hour EARLY at 4:15AM -- sheesh). Externally looked a bit unimpressive but oh, a lovely garden/courtyard. Proximity to airport was original main concern. And wow: Aliki's Restaurant attached was a Class #1 discovery: ethnic Greek food done properly, even retsina available! Mundane food also available but why bother with hamburger when the souvlaki + pita bread is to die for? (but closed Sundays) Hotel room was ample, coffee maker and coffee/sugar etc (bring your own tea), beds comfy, bathroom good, excellent blackout curtains and reasonable soundproofing.

No getting away from it being close to the airport on a major runway approach. But we found that although the planes were noticeable the soundproofing was enough for them to sound like a quickly passing heavy truck, and we got to the point of not noticing. Also, planes are curfewed (6:30 AM startup, 11:00PM end (? or thereabouts)

I found it easy to check in and the bloke was easy going and helpful at reception.It was the cheapest in the area and it was alright for the price.Big double bed,Clean showers and toilets and sheets and pillows was clean too.They also had a fridge,iron,ironing board and kettle with sugar, coffee and sugar with sachet milks. Getting there was easy too if you knew how to.I caught the free shuttle for Hertz rental cars before check in and after check out.I would give it a 8 out of 10.I would definitely book again if needed to in future. We enjoyed staying at Skyways Hotel. Having access to the Hertz free shuttle service was great. The check-in process was simple and staff helpful with pointers for us being out-of-towners. Room was clean, functional and all in working order. Our stay was for 2 days so the no daily servicing of the room would have what we requested even it was a service offered. Food was great at Greek restaurant beside the hotel.

Yes, the planes can be heard overhead however were not particularly noticable. No planes operated from 1am to 4am. Besides it is so close to the LAX airport.

Ok so I work remotely and planned my travel accordingly. So I was able to take a hot shower, rest, and hit all of my meetings. I needed to stay a little later than check out and they accommodated for a little upcharge. It was perfect. I was walking distance from the airport if I didn't want to take the FREE shuttle! It was great.

I wish it were closer to food. I like to walk. So I don't order in that often when I am traveling. And it took me a minute to find food.

Clean room with a fridge and good space, but bathroom needs renovation. Comfortable beds and very nice staff at the desk, we were welcomed with a big smile. Previous opinion said about the airplane noise, because it’s close to the airport, but it didn’t bother us that much. We heard maybe only 3 planes during one night (or maybe we were just tired ;) Got good information about shuttle and it was pretty easy to take it.

Bathroom needs renovation. No big light on the ceiling, just lamps. Traffic, traffic, traffic, if you plan to visit for example Santa Maria rather than just the airport, we were stuck in a traffic for more than an hour.

The building looks dated but it was thoroughly cleaned and there was no bug. I had read reviews before I stayed and some people recommended bringing earplugs as it is so close to the airport. To I used foamy ear plugs at night and had a really good sleep. Some reviewers wrote that they coups not figure out how to use the shower and neither did I at first. I tried turning the know, pulling, and pushing.. i I could not get it to work so I got my boyfriend to do it and he figured out it had to be pulled a little harder than I had done. It work3d no problem. We used Hertz shuttle bus from LAX to the hotel and from the hitel to LAX. There are frequent services and saves you 25 dollars Uber journey.

We wanted to get some water and found the vending machine outside, which sold drinks for only 1 dollar each. It only took cash and the front desk was happy to change our 5 to 1 dollar bills. We happily went up to the vending machine only to find that water was sold out.. I recommend bringing empty bottle from home and filling it up at the airport water fountain before coming here. It would be good if the vending machine was filled more often and it would be good if the front desk had some in stock to sell to the guests..

Location can't be beat if you are just looking for a place before an early flight. Very clean, felt safe, friendly staff (the boy at registration was very nice even though I was cranky from traveling by car so many hours), The garden area is beautiful as well. Only gripe would be toilet didn't work in first room I was booked, but he promptly moved me into a another room. The tv didn't work in there- but I was just looking to sleep. Overall a wonderful stay especially if you need no extras and just looking for a place for a cal nights before/after a flight.

I wanted to stay near the airport, as I had a morning flight, so I was OK with the airplane noise that you could hear all the time. The room was bigger than I expected, with a writing desk, TV, big fridge, bed was comfy. Very good price-quality ratio if you need to stay close to the LAX (also, there are free LAX shuttles close by).

The drain in the bathroom was clogged, so dirty water was accumulating when you take a shower. Room door had to be slammed shut, otherwise it would not close completely, so I almost left it unlocked, luckily a staff member pointed this out to me. But frankly, those are not big deals, I would recommend Skyways to travellers and would visit again.
