When I booked the hotel it was under a different name, however when we arrived to check in to reception on the 1st August, we were told that it was the first day of its new name, Holiday Inn. Staying at the hotel was very enjoyable. It was a brand new refurbished room, with new appliances and furniture. The only thing they didn't really seem to update was the bathroom. It was a 6 min walk to the main JR station and there were great amenities. Black out curtains were amazing and it was cool seeing the shinkansens zoom past from the window. Overall, if we were in kitakami again we would not hesitate to stay here again.

The only thing we found uncomfortable was the fact that the Aircon was centrally controlled so we couldn't change the settings. But there was a brand new fan available, so we used that and it was fine.

The room felt newly renovated with a sleek modern design, spotless, cozy, and very comfortable. I loved the thoughtful touches like lotion in the bathroom, a coffee machine, air purifier, and a USB-C port by the bed. Having both firm and soft pillows made me feel right at home and gave me the best sleep. The washing machines, dryer, and relaxing public bath made my trip so much easier.

Honestly, nothing at all. It was a perfect stay.

Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. The rooms were comfortable. Overall cleanliness was very good.

Parking space and location. Unfortunately, flower blooming was much earlier than previous years and totally gone by the time we got there, so we arrived late in the evening and left early morning.

Good location near shinkansen station. We were very much impressed by the picturesque river view from the window. Just like a painting. Breakfast was great too!

Good location, easy walk to places to eat. Plenty of parking. Room and bathroom where huge! Super affordable.
