The room was surprisingly nice. Little touches (bookshelf, clock, painting) that help create a homely feel. The room was also very spacious and had a variety of lighting options. Also liked the bedside lamp, and USB power sockets beside the bed. The breakfast was quite basic, then again it was free. And in contrast to most business hotels, seemed to have some locally prepared dishes. It is super close to the train station. (This was one of 11 business hotels so far this trip, so I can make a fair comparison.)

Checked into hotel, had room key in hand, and receptionist realises it only twenty to four - only members can check in before four. So I'll have to wait 20 minutes. That is so ridiculously pedantic. She could have left me with the room key but say that I couldn't yet use the room. No wifi in the common areas of the hotel.

Usual small room but with everything we needed. Huge array of breakfast dishes on offer, plus great coffee, included in our room rate. Appreciated borrowing the free umbrellas. Very close to station.

Big hotel on 9 floors with only one small lift. Only stairs were the outside concrete fire escape. A few breakfast foods suitable for western tastes would have been nice, though very few westerners were staying there.

It takes no more than five minutes to walk from the railway station to the hotel. The air-conditioned room is quiet and well-equipped with all amenties you need. Staffs are very friendly and supportive. The baggage can be deposited at the reception before check-in and after check-out times.

The breakfast choices could be more diverse. Only few protein menus are served.

this is a very convenient hotel chain, located very closely to the bus and train station, quiet rooms, good beds, rather for work, business and easy transfer; the simple but tasty breakfast is included. Basic hotel services for good price.

The room and bathroom are clean. Beds were comfortable, and the aircon is great, was adjustable and provided good airflow. Amenities can be taken as needed from the lobby. Decent breakfast is also in the lobby with limited seating, starts at 6.30am.

We were given the room next to the lift, we could hear every personal conversation due to poor sound proofing. The electric kettle was a little leaky when pouring.

Typical Toyoko Inn experience. Fair quality and an amazing price. Breakfast in the morning is simple, but gets the job done. Train station is very close. Perfect to visit Hiraizumi and Rikuzentakata.
