It’s a gorgeous, new and meticulously kept resort. I didn’t even know it had an onsen and tea house until we arrived. If I knew, I would have booked more time there. The onsen was amazing and so well kept. Loved the amenities. The gift shop had beautiful and unique things. The rooms were so well appointed. Gorgeous furniture and unique style. The food at the breakfast was delicious. The staff was the best we met in all of Japan on our 2 week trip. They were helpful, engaged, spoke perfect English and very hospitable. The bartender even made a cocktail for us even though he was cleaning up after hours. The products in the onsen and bathroom were high quality. If we come again, I’d love to stay fro longer because we didn’t get to see the tea house or the shrine on the top of the hill. Truly a gorgeous property!

It’s not in Nagoya. It’s pretty far out. $80 US Uber ride there and another $80 back.

Expectations were met, compared to my original visit. Relaxing, and slow.

Our rooms were overlooking the restaurant ceiling, therefore did not afford us a view of the garden pool. I was very disappointed about this oversight, as I paid extra for a River, garden and castle view.

The staff was extremely helpful in dealing with an difficult problem. The hotels' common spaces are beautiful, the onsen up to standard for such an hotel tho not exceptional, the room nicely appointed with great amenities (kimonos, coffee and tea, etc)

The room assignment at checkin, which was a twin instead of a double as requested, although the room was reassigned after a complaint. The bar/restaurant prices (including the breakfast) are extremely high.

Exceptional hotel with unparalleled ambiance, both in the public areas as well as the room. Just entering the hotel gave us a sense of wanting to be there, a calm and tranquility very rare to find.

Really nothing that we did not like. If anything, food at the restaurant breakfast was maybe not at the level I would have expected relative to the rest of the hotel. In a similar way, the onsen was not the best we had ever experienced.

Beautifully designed and landscape property with an awesome view of the Inuyama castle. My room was comfortable and spacious, and the staff also thoughtfully gifted me with some local sweets for my birthday. The hotel onsen was also clean, new and well maintained. Another highlight was the complimentary entry to the adjacent Urakuen teahouse, which was small but very tastefully designed and perfect for a short mindful walk ◡̈

Dining options at the in-house restaurant can be rather pricey, but at least the quality of food was great!

Noa at the front desk was an absolute professional with with knowledge, charm and good sense of humor. The hotel was fantastic on multiple levels. I would not hesitate to go back again.

The grounds were marvelous but somewhat isolated, but that was okay for us because we only had a short stay.

Outstanding facility. It began with the smiling reception staff at the driveway. Very helpful and friendly, from road to the room, it was the same person that spoke English. I did not expect this hotel to be a 5+ star rating!! One has to reside here, for at least a day, to realize what a treat it was... The fit and finish was done in warm wood and extreme craftsmanship. There was not anything, that made me think negatively about this outstanding hotel. It is definitely, a 'must come back' to hotel

The fact that I couldn't stay another day....

Breakfast - food range very good. The heater for bread/cake is quite not easy to operate it, the time control not user friendly. 2 days dinner at hotel restaurant, the waiter Rai very good in service and flexible.

Dinner - Semi buffet quite disappointed due to the food range is limited.

It is a beautiful hotel with peaceful gardens. The staff are friendly and attentive. The breakfast was excellent. We did not use the onsen or fitness centers but they looked excellent. The equipment in the fitness center was very high end and new.

We had our room cleaned 1 time, it would be better if they swept the floor as well.

Onsen is wonderful and beautiful; Location is superb, just next to the castle; parking is convenient, room is nice.

Only one staff is not too friendly when we ask about the transfer of hotel chain credits, but others are all superb helpful and friendly and professional
