We chose this hotel for the views and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed sitting at the window watching the changing vista as the sky and lights on the bridge changed and so many boats. This is a large hotel and does provide a number of facilities including virtual golf and a gym. My husband enjoyed both. The hotel is close to the railway and is very well sign posted so easy to find. The breakfast was substantial.

We stayed on a weekend so the breakfast area was very busy. I was advised there was a 20 minute wait to be seated but in the end it was only 5 minutes. The hotel was more expensive than other hotels we have stayed but even so I would stay again for the views.

This was the best hotel we stayed in, in Japan. It feels extremely grand when you arrive and the grounds are stunning. The views are magnificent. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was excellent. It's a really special place and I wish we could have stayed longer. I am already planning to come back. The only sad thing was that the pool was already closed for the season even though it was hot weather.

I have nothing but praise for this place. It was wonderful - it's a very easy 10 minute walk to the nearest station and there is a lift up from ground level to save you having to walk up a hill.

I actually booked the wrong date for this hotel, and came 2 months before my actual booking. I arrived close to midnight and was quite frantic since there were no other hotels in the area. Reception very kindly accepted my reservation which I am eternally grateful for. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Slippers and drinking water are provided. The hotel is actually quite large, and the breakfast buffet spread (although expensive) is well worth the price considering the variety and quality. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a beautiful view of Akashi-Kaikyo Bridge.

You might have some difficulty exiting Maiko Station correctly to locate this hotel at night. This is no fault of the hotel although there are some basic signs leading to the hotel from the station.

Nice big resort style hotel with well tended landscaped grounds and great views of Awaji Island and its famous bridge. This is an older facility, but it's in great shape overall, and our room was large and comfortable. We could even open the window overlooking the water and let the breeze in. The breakfast buffet is impressive and quite popular, so plan accordingly.

The hotel is close to the Maiko train station, but due to the location and size of the property, you will need a cab as walking to it isn't practical with luggage. Thankfully, we found one despite our late arrival time.

Beautiful view from the room that is worth everything. Also the room is very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is perfect! On-site parking, which was free of charge.

The spa is closed until the spring season. Little bit tricky to get to the train station, but it's only for the first time. It would be better to have an air purifier in the room to reduce the amount of dust.

We were travelling as a family of three. The room was spacious and comfortable for all of us, and the view from the room was absolutely stunning. Overall, it was a great experience. The only downside is that the location is quite far from Kobe city center — about 35 minutes away.

Gorgeous bridge view and easy to catch the highway bus to Awaji from Maiko station. Large twin room, slightly old but very clean. Instant coffee in the room. Not far to walk from Maiko station, follow the signs and use the elevator to get up the hill. Basement onsen quite nice but my skin was itchy afterwards. Can open window for fresh air. Four front loading washer/dryer combos with paid soap dispenser. I find these machines take a very long time and don't dry well.

Beds were hard and we found them quite uncomfortable. Available WiFi was unsecured. Only restaurant for dinner was 5000 yen per person buffet. Breakfast was 3000 yen per person and we didn't try it.

The hotel is located outside Kobe near a train station (about 7-10m walk). There are signs on the train station that guide you to the hotel. The train runs pretty often but less often than in the city. The room with a view of the bridge was excellent. We enjoyed watching the ships and traffic. The hotel itself is magnificent. The breakfast had a lot of choice and was really good.

The room, the view, the quality of the food were all excellent. I also enjoy their spa, plus they have renovated the passage way to the annex and have now a sauna and a snack bar open rather late.

I wished the pool was open a bit longer since the weather was still summer and would be nice if it was open late for adults.

Location was excellent, very close to the train station. Room was large, with amazing views of the ocean and bridge. Grounds were luxurious. We loved the buffet breakfast which was a little expensive, but was worth, given the vast selection, and tasty Japanese treats we had never sampled before.
