Once we step in Hotel. We were impressed by the lobby. Front desk staff Kosumi さん were very friendly. He explained all information to us and recommended lots of nice restaurant for us. Also Thapa front desk manager. When we decided to extend one night staying and would like to stay in the same room Kosumi san and Thapa helps and we can stay in the same room. 2 drinks session were offered everyday and this make guests very relax when traveling around Minamiboso and Tateyama. Also the 大浴場were so impressed with spacious shower area. Kosumi san also help us make reservation for restaurants he is so nice and sweet. Also the parking is free of charge.

Great location with small children. Indoor playground and outdoor pool provide good room to play. When walking down to the coast, you can find lots of crabs living in the stones. With a little bit bigger children or for adults probably also possible to snorkel (didn’t do it ourselves though). Kamogawa SeaWorld as well as MotherFarm can be reached within less than 1hr driving. The location can be reached from Yokohama within 1.5-2hrs driving which makes it a perfect location for a (long) weekend to get out if the city and enjoy nature. The buffet is good and offers a lot of nice food for all generations - our daughter loved the cotton candy machine.

The beach is not good for swimming and the pool tends to be crowded. If you stay for several days, the buffet becomes a little boring as the menu does not change.

Spent three days here and really enjoyed our stay. Room was comfortable and breakfast was great. Onsen was great with inside and outside area.

Nothing, only issue for us was we couldn’t get an ocean view room through booking.com but if we had booked directly we could have.. view is amazing and probably worth it. As a side note we are Accor members and both Kochi and this Mercure did not accept our membership or acknowledge it… it’s like they had never seen it. Didn’t really affect our stay, we loved both motels. Just meant we didn’t get the rewards or benefits of being a member that why we had to book through Booking.com…

Very family friendly - lots of supply for babies (baby soap, bottle sterilizer, strollers I think even)

Outdoor Pool: every hour you have to break for 10 minutes and everybody has to leave the pool. No lunch offered at the restaurant (nor through room service). Best option is the convenient store around 8 minutes by car from the hotel

Great location for family getaways in the silent nature, by the ocean. Food both in dinner and breakfast was great, as a standard of Mercure Hotel chain. Several playgrounds available for kids to socialize themselves.

Some parts of the hotel (in public spaces) were not as clean as others. (e.g,: the corridors oepning to outdoor pool)

the staff were all friendly specially Kosumi san. We have an extended stay and would like to stay in the same room and Kosumi san and Thapa helped and we can stay in the same room. The room is huge with a great Seaview which we can see Mt Fuji. The sunset view from our room were perfect.

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The check-in was fast and there were more options in the breakfast than I expected. The walking trails around the hotel were beautiful so, overall it was a very pleasant stay.

However; I wish the season for the pool was explained better in the description. And some items in the breakfast don’t get re-filled, so if you’d like to try everything go early in the morning.

Definitely worth the price. They had a really nice public bath and an onsen which helped me relax. If you are bringing kids, this is a nice place since they have a big kids space to have a lot of fun. They also have a nice service snacks/ alcohol. I got to taste different kinds of alcohol and Japanese snacks!

Spacious, nice ocean views. Beach front park walk is right next to the property. Loved the 3pm free drinks session in the bar area.

Food buffet quality wasn’t as good as last time but still satisfactory.

The rooms were very clean and modern. Really enjoyed the onsen as well. The iced tea, amazake, and other beverages in the lounge after the bath were wonderful.

Parking was very full when we arrived at 6:30pm.
