We had dinner and breakfast included with our lodging, which helped a lot since after a day of skiing/snowboarding, we didn't have to think about where to go to have dinner or worry about breakfast. We LOVED the after dinner karaoke party with the Filipina lady/main cook of the facility. She's an amazing cook and a great singer!

We were party of 5 and one person had to sleep on the couch. When the couch was flattened to make a bed, there was a bar (length-wise) that ran down the mattress, which made sleeping uncomfortable. It didn't help that my friend is a big guy so I think the presence of the bar was felt more by him.

The staff were super friendly offering a free shuttle service to the slopes every morning and a paid shuttle service in the afternoon/evening. Free buffet breakfast and dinner was legendary and karaoke in the evenings was fun.

Location was not ideal, however the owners made efforts to address this through the free morning shuttle. However getting home often required me walking down 30 minutes down the mountain in icy conditions + with my snowboard which wasn't ideal. Location matters in Niseko Village as it's situated on a hill and is a more gruelling walk than if it were flat. I'd have liked the distance from the ski slopes to be reflected in the price a bit more.

The highlight of the trip is definitely the staff. I found them all exceptionally friendly, helpful and courteous. All my questions were answered very quickly, and the attention was excellent. I was travelling alone this trip, and was a bit worried, but I felt very safe staying here! It was like staying with family! I really felt looked after. The location is good. It's a bit of a walk to the slopes, but there is a complimentary shuttle bus in the morning to a location of your choice in town. It was a bit difficult to find it in the dark on the first night, but pretty usual for Niseko. Check in was a breeze, your room number and the key code is sent to you the day of your arrival. I actually managed to walk in and unpack before seeing anyone else at the hotel! There's a lift to get to your floor, which I thought was a bit overkill but is a godsend when you're in ski gear. The room is small but comfortable and was very clean. Some people have commented that the towels are small, and I suppose that's true. Extra towels are available to take as you need them, I suppose. I didn't have much trouble and I'm 6'2. The toilet was nice, the shower is clean. I had read some complaints about the hot water on google, but I had no trouble at all - if anything it was the opposite, when the faucet is turned all the way up it's too hot! If you have a bit of luggage, it can feel a bit cramped, but cleverly you can slide your rolling luggage under the bedframes. There's plenty of hanging storage which is really useful for skiing, and there's a fridge in your room which is handy to keep some Strong Zeros. The heating in the room is excellent, you have a large head unit in your room and control over the temperature. A bit of information that would have been nice to know in advance: Dinner is 1700-1900, breakfast starts at 7:30. Sit in the bar area for a shuttle in the morning, they're free until 10:00. There's no strict timetable but you'll wait <10 minutes. There's no shuttle back, but it's an easy walk from the free shuttle stop (Red 4, Hirafu lower or lower/middle)

Good location in lower Hirafu village so can easily access the Grand Hirafu gondola for skiing; large breakfast selection, convenient for skiing as the hotel has a ski locker for your equipment and will offer free ski shuttles before 10am; hotel has elevator, bedroom has small fridge and kettle

Not much soundproofing between the bedrooms, you will hear your neighbours if they talk in their bedroom or use their bathroom/TV but all residents tended to observe the quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM so just bring earplugs to be on the safe side; hot water in the shower was a bit capricious

The property was super convenient! Washing machines and dryers, snowboard storage, free shuttle in the morning to slope, a delicious breakfast and dinner buffet included in price of stay and awesome karaoke most nights. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are spacious and even have a small kitchenette. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly, I can’t really fault my stay.

It is a very pleasant home stay in lower Hirafu, which is accessible by Hirafu free shuttle bus. Room are new, clean and spacious. Staff are helpful with free fetching from JR Kutchan. Breakfast is good with great variety of food and drinks. This hotel also provides ski storage. Hotpot dinner is fantastic. Overall it is a wonderful stay at Q Fox.

Rooms were on the small side (but standard for Japan). Located right down the bottom end of Hirafu village, so a fair way away from the resort. This wasn’t an issue due to the free shuttles.
