Was absolutely fantastic and great value for money. Room was quite small but we knew that going in to it and jammed 3 mates into the 2 queen beds but was very manageable. Lovely staff who were extremely helpful throughout all of the stay. Free shuttle in the morning to the slopes before 10 was incredible. Is otherwise about a 15 minute walk uphill to the very bottom ski lift which can be a bit of a hassle in all your gear. Free buffet breakfast was also good. A good mix and variety. Facilities were all clean and had no issues. Would stay again as was so cheap compared to rest of Hirafu :)

Clean new apartment. Great range of food included in the accomodation. Very large TV in the main room. Good drying facilities in the basement.

Very large kitchen bench, but no where to really sit and relax, especially after skiing except on the bed. Large dining room table which could be smaller and then a couch would be better. Very difficult to use the local shuttle bus to get to lift. Accomodation only provides a lift till 10am and the shuttle only runs part of the day. Also, no where to plug in on both sides of the bed or even boil the kettle. No power points on the kitchen bench. Boiled the kettle on the floor!! The karaoke was too loud each night. It would be nice to just sit quietly some nights.

Fantastic location for skiing in Niseko Grand Hirafu for us as a couple, but the absolute best part about this place is the service of the staff. They offer a free shuttle service between 7:30-10:00 AM straight to the slopes, and for a small fee, they will shuttle you outside those times too. You can also get a phone number for them, and for a fee, they will also pick you up from skiing, which is immense. And they can pick you up from the station and drop you off too. Included in the fee, they also offer a huge breakfast buffet including Asian food, and every day for dinner, they offer the choice between hot pot and kbbq. That is huge considering it’s so difficult to book reservations within Grand Hirafu.

Would definitely stay here again

Although the hotel is located at lower Hirafu, but the staff will fetch you up to the slope in the morning, no extra charges if it is before 10am. Coming back will be via the free shuttle bus, and it’s just a short 3-4min leisure walk to the hotel with all ski equipment. Owner is also very kind to fetch us from the welcome Center when we arrived and we truly appreciate it!

Nothing! Breakfast can be a bit better but this is greatly compensated by the buffet dinner spread which has a great variety of food and very yummy too

We had an excellent stay at Q Fox. The staff are super friendly, very accommodating. They promptly shuttle guests to the mountain every morning, which makes the stay very easy. To get back to the hotel in the afternoon, it's an easy 20 min downhill walk, or one can take a free town shuttle back. The breakfast and dinner are excellent. Nightly karaoke is a bonus entertainment during dinner. The rooms are simple, but clean and adequate. We would stay here again.

The breakfast buffet spread was great, good mix of western and other options. Good variety of drinks as well. The car service straight to the lift base in the morning was very convenient. The car service is also available for hire outside of the morning lift service hours, which was much more convenient than trying to hire a taxi.

The location at the bottom of the village can be a bit tough to get to without the shuttle or a car, as the roads are quite slippery.

Apartment was clean, well furnished (rice cooker, dryer function in bathroom, cooking utensils). Staff and boss (Jacky) were very attentive to our needs and leant forward to give us a good experience. Breakfast bar was well stocked with western and Japanese breakfast items. Had a good breakfast every morning to get ready for a good day on the slopes. Laundry facilities were great! Parking in front of hotel was very convenient too. A good place to base off, 3 mins drive to the slopes every day, and easy to drive around the region for ice cream, coffee and food.

The ski locker drying function wasn't very effective and our boots were slightly damp in the morning. But, you can use the drying function in your bathroom to dry stuff and they came out crisp and dry in the morning. No TV in the room, but didn't really have time to watch anyway.

-Located in somewhat high end and quiet neighborhood -Has kitchenette, ready to prepare proper meals, well equipped with electric hobs, rice cookers, utensils and kitchenware -Basement has a microwave oven, two pairs of washing machines and dryers to use for free, also free detergent provided -Breakfast was excellent, had both eastern and western style food

-No staff at front desk. Had a difficulty doing the self check-in via mobile phone at the front door, fortunately the staff came in and helped. Had he not seen me, I would be standing browsing through the phone for longer. -No TV -There were too few parking spaces

The room is spacious and clean. Having a soothing hot shower made the best part of my stay after a cold and tiring ski day. The aircon was very effective and warmed up the room immediately. The breakfast provided a wide variety of choices and was rich in nutrients making it a good preparation for a active ski day.

The matress on kitchen floor was slippery and might cause falling accidents. I would suggest considering a change. The snow had not been cleared, covering the stairs and blocking access to the front door.

The breakfast is great and they will shuttle you every morning to the base or gondola - that's actually huge, because the hotel is at the very bottom of Hirafu and it would be a long uphill walk otherwise. There are free public shuttles; however, they are usually overcrowded in the morning so you don't want to rely on them. So if you pick a place in Lower Hirafu, private shuttle is really useful. The hotel is pretty new and they clean the rooms regularly.

The rooms are a bit awkward. For example, there is no outlet around the kitchen area so you have to boil water in the bathroom. Also, the rooms are pretty small - I was expecting that and used the "double bed" room just for myself since staying for a longer period. And that was perfect. But it would be manageable for 2 people for shorter stays as well. Also, for a new building, the soundproofing is not great - you will hear neighbors from all sides.The check-in process is not great (and I am very technical person). They should just use some better app or having someone onsite, obviously, a lot of folks are struggling with it based on the reviews.
