Now this is an excellent hotel that is great value for money. Stayed in 6 different hotels during our trip to Okinawa and this is hands down the best hotel. The hotel is quiet and serene, and it offers an excellent view of the sea. And if you are coming to stay, don't forget to enjoy the unobstructed view of sun rise in the morning. This was our hotel #2 and it simply set the mood right for the holiday. The only thing that was too bad for us is that we booked only 1 night stay in this little gem and had to drive on to another location as there is really not much attractions nearby. But the hotel alone would have made it worthwhile staying longer.

It’s located outside of village. Very calm place. Spacious hotel so you don’t interrupt with other people (what is not so common in Japan). View, food and service was great. The service was exceptional! I appreciate a man who supported us in reporting lost car keys to rental company. He was super super helpful and kind. Beach is in few minutes walk. Both beach and pool were pretty empty during our 4days stay.

The Hamahigashima is living from the location at the beach with a great view from the Hotel lobby and the rooms. The staff at the reception (Ken, you are more than great) and the staff in the japanse and frensh restaurant (a very kindly chief steward in the japanse restaurant) is extremely friendly, nice helpful and flexible for special wishes. The brakfeast is very good, as well as the food in the two restaurants. Snorkeling is possible as well a the beach. We used their Rental e-bikes to discover Hamahiga Island.

In the great lobby they should offer the possibility for a last drink after dinner. An umbrella at the pool would be nice as well and maybe you spend a minute to upgrade the view from the japanse restaurant in the garden.

Beautiful sea views from the room and lobby. Room was big and spacious. Breakfast was mainly Japanese cuisine and tasted delicious. For dinner, we ate at the restaurant. While food is good, it is not the best we have eaten in Okinawa. You can go down to the beach via a stairway. Overall it is a decent hotel and not overcrowded.

One of the blanket had multiple dried blood stains on it. Staff could have been more vigilant. When we highlighted this to the staff the next morning, they just took note and did not offer an apology. Could have done better.

Absolutely stunning location, quiet and authentic vibe. I can’t say enough about hotel staff, they work so hard, we would highly recommend this if you want to escape the city and enjoy the islands.

No elevator

Both the room and the dining hall offered beautiful sea views. I also appreciated the fact that the room came with a balcony and easy chairs to enjoy the scenery. There was an easily accessible beach, and the fishing nearby was also excellent. It was a very nice touch indeed to be presented with a packet of raw Okinawan brown sugar at the end of my stay.

I didn't like the fact that I wasn't allowed to bring the towels in my room to the beach. I was also surprised when I was told that my friend, who wasn't staying, wasn't allowed to use the shower in my room.

The room was beautiful and very clean. The bathroom was especially nice. And the view was amazing. I could have sat and looked out the window for days. Also the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and spoke really good English.

Our kids thought the beds were a little uncomfortable, but we all slept just fine.

Beautiful view of the sea from our accommodation, which was quite spacious. The dinner was excellent.

The dryer and washing machine require maintenance and cleaning.

Very well kept, clean and comfortable.
