I could possibly write an essay on the level of detail and attentiveness from the staff, which made this already wonderful location an incredible place to stay. From before our arrival, we had some concerns regarding finding our way to Seiryuan as we were unfamiliar with the area, and knew it was a tad more remote than all other locations we had visited. I attempted to reach out via Booking and Instagram, receiving a reply via Instagram that went above and beyond expectations. Yukari Hiraki verified how we were arriving (train/trolley) and which station, after which she provided detailed steps, screenshots, and cost estimates of our options (bus / taxi) and from where to pick them up. This allowed us to arrive at Seiryuan with significant confidence. As we were arriving, a staff member received us outside which surprised us. We had not yet arrived to their main entrance, and this is a very remote area where we saw no one else nearby during our final walk to Seiryuan. I suspect they have a very well placed camera in the approaching street to identify guests as his presence there felt quite magical. Every hospitality standard we had previously was shattered from the attentive check-in, room accompaniment, offering of tea/ appetizers and scheduling our dinner time. During dinner, which takes place in an ample private area with a lovely view of the pond/ garden, our waiter Sakurai was the utmost example of excellence. His attention to detail, knowing when to offer additional information about the dinner, when we were deep in conversation he was incredibly respectful. All of this while in English which he was able to communicate very effectively intricate details regarding the dinner. When we returned to our rooms the beds were made and we enjoyed the private onsen. Breakfast was also delicious and the check-out experience was also flawless.

That we weren't informed we should have stayed 2 nights to fully enjoy the grounds all day :D (this "complaint" is a joke because in all honestly the stay and experience was perfection. A mild suggestion would be to log the information Yukari made available in a small file to share with guest ahead of time depending on their arrival method (I am sure this is mostly a foreigner issue and in no way detracts from the experience). Everything. From the faciliaties to the exceptional staff this place is superb. Every little thought is driven around us, the guest, and it delivers a wonderful accommodation and space that allows guests to unwind, relax and enjoy your surroundings. Rooms were big and spacious and bedding was comfortable. The private onsen is incredible and the amenities provided covers everything you need. We had included dinner and breakfast in our booking which we recommend given the location is a little remote and there are limited food options locally especially for dinner. The food is remarkable showcasing the local produce around the area. Breakfast was equally delicious. I commend and applaud all who make this place such a welcoming and wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend others staying here.

Nothin it was a perfect stay

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Seiryuan. I loved the privacy, the nature of the surroundings, the fresh flowers, and the onsen inside the room. The food at each meal was superb, and the chef did an extraordinary job.

I am sorry I could not think of anything I did not like.

Everything was just perfect! The atmosphere, service, hot spring and food were just 12/10.
