Staff were very accommodating and responsive to our inquiries. The room was a good size and the breakfasts were really fabulous. The fish tickling my feet! Found a fabulous Contemporary Art Museum of Ise nearby - a really must visit place.

We did on a number of occasions say were eat fish but no meat but several times we were served food that did include some meat. A good guide to local restaurants with opening days and times would have been useful.

The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. I wanted to go to the Yokohama Observatory (which is expensive and hard to reach by public transpo), but they offered a shuttle ride to a train station, and also told me about Shima City tourism’s taxi promo. Very helpful! Other than that, the room was bigger than expected. It had a small Japanese garden, which was a good touch. They also had a lot of fun facilities in the lobby.

Wonderful food both for dinner and breakfast, friendly staff and a spacious room. The Onsen/ hot bath is really nice, big and with an outside bath as well. The village is very interesting if you want to learn more about the fisherman community and Ama-san lifestyle. There is a small nice beach in walking distance.

The only thing I was missing was coffee, it's not a big deal but there was nothing to find, not at breakfast and not in the room. It's a minor detail but even a sachets of nescafé would be nice for people who like coffee and don't want to drink Japanese tea all the time. There are no konbini's or grocery stores at all in the neighbourhood so make sure you take some things with you beforehand.
