great location right near by the station, eventhough the entrance is not so easy to find (you have to enter the main modern building with a library facing the street). Hotel is super modern, room is really well organized. Aminities are plenty. And love the bathroom with the window onto the bedroom and facing the outside window, it gives a really nice feel of space eventhough the room is regular size for Japan. I would recommend the Cafe Kidosen for morning set, an amazing place and HUGE toast. Diner at 浜焼き海鮮居酒屋 大庄水産 酒田店 was cheap and excellent also.

Great location near the train station to make it a convenient spot for getting to and from other parts of the city, including quickly getting cabs. Nice views & restaurant options within the hotel. The city visitor center, multi-story library & even a bike rental & tour area are all part of the building. Food is good in the main restaurant & while it might seem pricy, it’s actually a good deal for a good quality, unlimited, buffet style selection of local and western food options.

The whole experience was very pleasant. The room was typical of a newer Japanese hotel (with a window between the bathing area and the bedroom!), the breakfast quite superb, with local foods along with a wide variety of options, including made-to-order omelets. Of all the hotels we stayed during our one-week trip to the northern parts of Japan, this was overall the most elegant hotel experience, It was a wonderful start to our journey. It is conveniently located across from the Sakata station, in a new building which houses the city library and high-end fashion shops.

This hotel surprised me at how modern it was in the quaint city of Sakata. It's not that I had zero expectations going in but I can say for sure that I was pleasantly surprised. It's a shame I only stayed for one night, but I'd love to stay this hotel again.

A minor quibble, but the shampoo and conditioner bottles only dispensed a small amount of product at a time. Also, the space between the bed and the table was not enough for the chair to swivel around fully. Nonetheless, my stay was pleasant.

The view from the room was lovely, we had a view of Sakata and the far-off mountains. I very much appreciated not having a barrier between the bathroom and the room itself. The room had a working refrigerator, a tablet with information about the hotel and a huge TV fixed to the wall. The bedding was clean and comfortable and the amenities in the bathroom were good. The Key system worked well but was a little confusing at first. To make the elevator go, we needed to touch a panel with our card before punching the button for our floor. The breakfast buffet was very good. There were a lot of options for local and more Western foods available. The salad bar had many ingredients, although, for a short person like myself, it was hard to see the bowls at the back to know what was there.

Sadly, the room was quite small. It was hard for my husband and myself to walk past each other when moving around the room. There was also a built-in "bench" at the foot of the bed. While it did provide a seat for the desk, it also made it very difficult to move from the bench to the rest of the room. The bench didn't move at all. The Bathroom also had a window between the room and the shower. It did have a blind on the inside of the bath/shower. The bath itself was quite high-sided and there weren't any bars on the wall to help people stand up in the bath or get out of the bath. As an older couple, it made things a little difficult for us.

Close to station ! Go right in front the street and go right into the the library building and at turn left at the end to get out the library then it’s on your left with some bookshelves in front their check in desk!

Not a clear sign of the hotel name like other hotels ! Only with a Japanese word meaning moon most of people may not know the word in such art form!

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the train station, making it easy to access, even if you arrive late at night. The buffet breakfast is fantastic, offering a variety of local Japanese specialties alongside Western options. Plus, the tourist information center is just next door!

The window's daylight curtain wouldn't lift, preventing us from enjoying the view for leisure.

Outstanding super modern hotel next to rail station: convenient, excellent amenities, super restaurant on site, and great value. Hotel connected to city library where you can check out books and take to room. The menu of the restaurant was extensive and everything delicious and inexpensive. Super value!

Liked the body massage (60min) at the level 3 in the hotel. Very strong hands and professional, highly recommended. Tsukino hotel location right opposite the Sakata JR train station, very convenient location.

Non, all were good for our stay.

The hotel was close to the train station and there was a bus stop right at the entrance of the hotel. The lobby was cozy and welcoming. The room was comfortable and the staff was wonderful.
