I had a great stay here! Everything was clean and I found the room to be very comfortable. The public bath was great, never too crowded when I used it. Breakfast was pretty tasty (lots of variety) and the dinner/takeout options at the restaurant were really convenient.

Location-wise, the hotel is right next to the train station, but there aren't many facilities (like convenience stores) right nearby - you have to walk a little ways to get to anything. I stayed a whole weekend and noticed that the hotel in general (especially the elevators and the breakfast room) were more crowded on the Sunday morning than the Saturday.

I think probably the best choice in Shinjo for a business hotel. Adjacent to the train station, on the wide open East side ... (restaurants etc are on West side). I was traveling by bicycle and they let me put my bike in my room. Very enlightened policy. Clean property. Friendly staff. Nice "large bath" area to soak in a hot bath. Decent breakfast included. Better than average for the Route Inn chain ... and these are usually not bad at all!

Golden Week so the hotel was full. It seemed as if large groups were trying to get down the single elevator at 620AM for the 630AM breakfast start. I was staying on the 6th floor and waited for a couple elevators to pass full of guests from 8 and 9 ... went down stairs instead and was greeted by a long breakfast line (ended up getting to the first food tray after 645AM). I think this was an extraordinary Golden Week issue, and I don't think there is anything the hotel could have done ... except perhaps put out some of the food where it was accessible without going through the single line.

very nice hotel with good onsen and very close to station. The rooms were clean and the personnal qualified. The breakfast was good having a mix of everything but of course mainly japanese food as expected in this area of Japan which is not Tokyo. The hotel has a coin laundry which is appreciated as we used it. The onsen is normal for this kind of hotel but always appreciated and products are good. I especially liked the shaving foam with mint perfume (I even tried to buy it in a drug store but could not find the same). Parking for free and only 3 min walk to station. My son enjoyed to watch the Shinkansen leaving Shinjo.

Excellent location, right next to the Station. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I especially enjoy the public bath. We were able to keep our luggage at the front desk after check-out for sightseeing nearby. Highly recommended.

The hotel had an onsen and complimentary breakfast, at a great price.

The double room and single rooms were about the same size, so the double rooms felt smaller.

Old facilities, same hotel chain at another location (near Nikko) was much cleaner and newer. Onsen smelled like chlorine.

The staff were very nice and helped us out when we locked ourselves out of the room. The onsen was clean and the breakfast was very good. Lots of options.

I made the mistake of reserving the accommodation for the wrong day, but the staff was extremely helpful and changed the dates for free at the last second. Would highly recommend staying here, everyone was so nice!

Everything was really clean, the staff was really kind, the restaurant had a great breakfast buffet and the food was great. It also has a gym nearby which I went to.

Clean, great reception staff, onsen, plentiful and good Japan breakfast. Firm, some would say hard bed, but that's good for me. I would stay here again.

A little noise through the walls, but not bad.
