The room was big. Location is very quiet and peaceful. The service and staff were very good and helpful, especially the shuttle service, you could book easily via the app or at reception. The restaurant was also good, both for dinner and breakfast. Onsen in the rain was the best experience ever.

The public transport was not so frequent because the hotel was close to the mountain (so you have shuttle service). During my stay the weather was super hot, there was no AC in the toilet or in the hotel hallway. So I hardly use the shower in my own room...

I loved everything about my experience! The staff were so cute and sweet, everyone of them was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We bought the breakfast and dinner package for the 2 nights of stay. All the food was amazing, it is traditional style but with a light touch of western fusion, the ingredients were all locally sourced and farm raised. The place is filled with charm, with so much hand-made thoughtfulness, a mix of modern and traditional. There were soy sauce workshop, mini libraries full of art books and manga, adult coloring, I was honestly in heaven and everything was beyond my expectation. The room was beautiful and charming, I stayed by the window listening to bird singing in between onsen time. Lovely lovely experience

It was very clean and very open, gorgeous private room just by ourselves. Since it was just 1night, we didn’t know it wasn’t with dinner or morning breakfast. And the app didn’t specify about it. So that was one thing I regret for this trip.

The booking.com didn’t specify if the facility or this one night booking includes meals because when we arrived, there was no dinner or morning breakfast. We missed the dinner and the facility didn’t compensate the morning breakfast for us so we had to pay at check out.

The property was nestled in the hills. We drove there and parked at the onsen. The area was filled with numerous onsen and charming little spots. While the onsen was pleasant, it only offered a small outdoor area and an indoor option, so there wasn't much variety in the onsen experience.

Not a lot, really. But you do need to have breakfast and dinner at the onsen. We ended up heading to town for some Teppanyaki for dinner.

Very nice hotel and great servce! Rooms (japanese style) are very nice and spacious. Dinner and breakfast are amazing! They also have a very nice libary/coffe/tea place for relaxing. The hotel is very nice and stylish, staff is very friendly and professional.

The onsen (public one) is quite small, but since I was there alone, it was ok :)

Lovely Japanese inn, full of character. Onsen bath on the balcony was superb. Brilliant experience for anyone. You won't want to leave.

Some elements of the multi-course dinner were interesting, some were good.

High-class quality ryokan, rooms and big and quiet. Dinner and breakfast was good.

The only thing I didn't like was male onsen compare to everything with that ryokan it’s very common and usual public bath.

A very pleasant, spacious room. A lovely Onsen facility. The cafe and library area was a nice place to relax and read a book.

I had no hot water in my private bathroom.

Stunning. Booked private outdoor onsen, definitely worth it. Gorgeous building and interior, absolutely loved the library and garden. Recommend booking the meals since there is nothing else in walking distance and the hotel is on a steep hill. They kindly accomodated my meals to my dietary restrictions with advance notice.The entire experience made it one of the best ryokans we have ever stayed in.
