This hotel was wonderful. The pools were always clean and the infinity pool at the end was beautiful. The staff & service were exceptional. They were accomodating and were very friendly. They decorated our suite with beautiful flowers for a birthday that was being celebrated. It was such a lovely surprise and there was a lot of effort put into it. The breakfast was always good with many options to choose from at the buffet. You could also order off the menu at any time.

We were dissappointed at all the seaweed that had accumulated on the beach. It didn't make it inviting to go down to the water. The only other disappointing factor was the pizza oven was not working and needed to be repaired. We had hoped that it would have been back up and running so we could have tried the pizza.

The staff: Peter, Gideon, Juma and Patrick at reception were courteous, fulfilled all our wishes and communicated very well with the relevant departments. We immediately felt at home. As I am vegan, it is a bit difficult for me here in Kenya to always choose something from the menu. The waiter Dena was very courteous, understanding, helpful and very knowledgeable. He went through the menu with me every day and always gave me very good advice so that the chef could cook it. Employees like him should be encouraged and appreciated more. Waiter Robert always gave us something to laugh about at the bar and the drinks were very good. No headaches the next day, he was a pleasure to work with. Many thanks to Sofia from the breakfast service, she always had a smile on her face and sweetened our day so we could start the day well. Margaret's pancakes are a must at Medina Palms, they are delicious. Mercy, our housekeeping queen. She wowed us every day with new room decorations Always very lovingly done now I can say I have always slept on cloud nine at Medina Palms. Thank you, Queen Mercy. An appeal to the management of Medina Palms staff to show more encouragement and appreciation the facilities and location are not worth 5 stars for me. The heart of Medina Palms is the staff. High-end hotel with nice ambience, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms and comfortable beds. We stayed for 4 nights at Median Palms and we really had time to relax and recharge after the safari we did before. We've been pleasantly surprised by at the checkin when they upgraded our room to a spacious villa. Additionally, there is a a water sports center on the beach where our kids took wind-surfing lessons.

The breakfast could be more creative but overall it was good. The service in the on-site restaurant in slow (as we have experienced in every place we dined out in Kenya)

Beautiful, cosy hotel. Large rooms (more like apartments with fully furnished kitchens and living room). Pools were really nice, Flora and Fauna made the experience a little wilder. Staff were amazing.

Check in was a little weird as the taxi had to wait till we checked in and then take us to our room. Hotel should really use their own transport to take us. If we had known better we would have booked just one apartment which has 3 beds. We didnt know the structure/layout so we ended up spending double ish the money.

The breakfast was good, enough choice and plentiful. The coffee was very good. Unfortunately the Mahamurri and other pastries did not appear to be fresh. The omlettes and pancakes were very good. The beach was unusable due to the huge amount of seaweed which was disappointing. The general areas pool etc were lovely and the beach bar was great for a sundowner. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return. The staff were amazing.

As above the pastries in the breakfast restaurant could be better and the seaweed was way too much you couldnt even walk on the beach infront of the hotel as the seaweed was so deep, but maybe this was due to the rains.

The staff were unquestionably the highlight of the Medina. Amazingly helpful, warm, nice. We also loved the options for pools. The rooms were fantastic, though AC in all rooms would be even better.

It was a little hard to get to and into the ocean the way the entry is set up, and the beach restaurant is not really on the beach. Breakfast good but could use a little more variety. Also we needed to use the golf cart to get there due to a mobility issue but there was no one to drive it after 5.

This is a fabulous hotel with its own private beach and the wind based water sports are complimentary which is a nice touch. The suite was large, the bed super comfortable and the breakfast all one might expect. The croissant could have been made in France! Pools are warm and a good mix of shade and sunny spots.

WiFi wobbled a couple of times but not for long and the pool attendant was a bit officious about us playing music on the phone at a very low volume but these are very minor grumbles in truth. £150 a night was probably at the top end of the value but the spacious room probably justified the cost.

Not great variety, presentation. Seen much better breakfast buffets elsewhere.

Short-staffing, slow food and beverage service and tardiness of the driver - hotel transport booked by us. Food and beverage prices higher than neighboring hotels.

Great staff and good hotel rooms/apartments. Clean surroundings. Good and peaceful location with nice beach area.
