Great location, staff friendly and courteous, parking was good, close to shopping center/ walmart/ sams club

Construction going on and renivation therefore elevators was cut down to one and the wait time was like 10-20 minutes wait and could only fit up to 4 people with baggage if youʻre lucky. The bathroom tub was really old and shower curtains were torn but manageable hopefully by my next trip the renovation would be completed and it would be the Pagoda that I remembered from my past trips. It was always so clean and family oriented. It is still a family oriented hotel just the cleanliness dropped down abot 2 notches in point value.

The location is excellent, it is close to Ala Mo ana Mall which is one block away. Also, Walmart is just next block as well as Target. The hotel is only few minutes away from Waikiki and you can take The Bus from Ala Moana mall to Waikiki. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. The hotel serves breakfast through a partner next building where you only pay $5, the meal is good too. The room is also big and beds are comfortable.

Customer service from the front desk receptionist was so helpful, we managed to extend our accommodation. The security was lovely to talk to and very helpful. The cleaners were lovely and accommodating. Loved the breakfast 😋 staff are friendly and inviting. Facilities for the laundromat exceptional, ice machine was a bonus especially with the hot weather conditions. The pool area very tidy and clean, the pool towels are extremely useful.

Our swipe card playing up sometimes. Pillows were to soft. If could have a coin machine in the laundromat room for change for the washing and dryer machine.

This is a great hotel for the budget traveler. It is a very clean but old hotel. Have the right expectation as this is a mom and pop budget hotel and not a resort. Location is great for shopping at Ala Moana mall (nice food court), Don Quijote (Japanese dept. store), Walmart, Sams Club. We drove everywhere else. A big nice breakfast for $5 is the deal, any other place is $20+ for meal and coffee. Parking is fine as street meters are free 6pm - 7am and then $1.50/hr. Use the ParkSmarter app and you can feed your meter remotely.

The resort fee seems like just an extra to the room rate, but all the hotels are doing this.

The hotel was great - clean, big room, with a fantastic location right in the city center. It’s close to Ala Moana Center and other shops, which is perfect for bigger shopping trips and picking up souvenirs. There are also buses nearby that go to popular tourist attractions. I also really appreciated the $5 breakfast coupons for the restaurant next door, which was a nice touch.

The only downside was that the windows are designed to stay partially open, so I could hear the garbage truck in the early morning, and I'm not a light sleeper. I’d recommend asking for a room on the other side of the hotel - it might be quieter.

Proximity to Ross, Korean restaurant including canteen on the ground floor.

At one time way back in 2019, i was dropped off by the taxi driver at the side of the street that faces the Ross shop very late in the night. I kept on knocking but there was no response from a night attendant/security or front desk. I was picked up from the airport. I carried my two big pieces of luggage around the block. Fortunately for me the bags were on wheels and I managed, to get through the entrance that is closest to the Front Desk. This time i am very careful of where to be dropped off especially towards early morning or very late at night or just before dawn. I am not sure as well if there is a security person or staff in attendance by the door that faces Ross, very late at night or close to dawn for extremely tired passengers that have reservations in the hotel.

Location: It is the center of everything. The shops are around it, and you can walk to Walmart, AlaMoana Center, and more. There is a restaurant on-site, and you can also walk to nearby shops. The room has everything you need, is clean, and meets my needs. I would always choose to stay here and save money while I choose my adventures and spend my money on shopping.

Check-in time: I wish it were earlier, like 1 or 2 pm. But 4 pm is too late because then you would have to wander around until the time is there. I understand there's cleaning to be done, but I just wish there was a sooner time to check in.

Employees was very helpful, very friendly and asked if we needed any help, they're there at anytime. Upon ckin..excellent customer service! That's the ALOHA spirit w/ a smile and accommodating w/ infomation..as a still local girl; moved to Las Vegas..I've been in customer service all my life from day one. Approximately about 50yrs. I've worked at ALOHA SURF HOTEL, now know as Aqua...started from telephone operation, front desk, sales, and worked my way up to Reservation Mgr..assistant Housekeeping Mgr, and as well acting GM when my GM went out of town for a wk or so. Matter of fact, whenever I would come back home to visit family, I'd stay at the ALOHA SURF. But for some reason, I'd happened to stay at the Pagoda because of location, price and customer service..told my husband this is our stay whenever we come back. This is my 2nd stay here, and loved it..thankyou for the ALOHA spirit and I'm returning back in November for class reunion once again. Matter of fact, just remembered..way back then I even held my granddaughters 1st bday party where I think you have the breakfast w/ coupon is at. She's now31yrs old and I have photos for keepsake of the pagoda. That was awesome 👌 👏. By the way, don't know if I should mention this or call the hotel rgds when booking my reservation they included a 200.00 to my stay for any should damages accur in my room. And it'll take 7days to refund. If I need to call the hotel for the refund, I'll do so. Again, thank you for my wonderful stay and awesome staff.

Not too much parking as you go towards the parking lot, across from Ross. Know it was like that from day one..just got to get back there to park early for space, but it's all good

We enjoy the location close to Ala Moana shopping centre, Ross and Wal-mart. We also enjoyed the breakfast, tasty , good options to choose from and the discount on breakfast. We like the fact that this is a hotel that serves local people, and Hawaiian residents who live other islands in the state. In other words, this hotel does not have a tourist vibe. I like coming to the Pagoda, because I used to live here in Honolulu as a child and I remember my parents would come to the restaurant for special family dinners.

We stayed for two nights. The hotel is better than the reviews score. It has good value, location is convenient, room was clean, The $5/pp breakfast with coupon was especially convenient for us.

Don't use the parking lot, meters on the street can be used with the app. No charge during 6pm-7am .
