Great spot by Ocean Ave. Hotel lobby and restaurant comfortable and well laid out. Excellent coffee shop with great staff and bagels! (off the menu so ask!)

The valet staff don't always give a warm welcome - especially if you arrive in an Uber. Better service for better cars. Odd that I'm wealthy but choose to use an Uber! Oh well - no service no tip. Big mistake (as Julia Roberts would say) Room was spacious bed comfortable but the chairs were horrific. Metal, hard, seriously uncomfortable. The ocean view is one of those where you have to position yourself on the balcony in a certain spot to see it. Yes it's a view. But not a great one. I had a premium room and expected better.

The staff was incredibly accommodating. There were multiple opportunities every day to get room service. The valet was very quick and efficient. The hotel restaurant was absolutely amazing. The hotel provided many hospitalities that we did not expect from filtered water stations on every floor, to free sunbum sunblock and after sun in the pool area, fruit infused water in multiple locations.

The tower we stayed in was starting to get a little beat up. Windows needed to be cleaned on the exterior, and some of the equipment in the gym was damaged. But the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Great location, the beds were really comfy. The Fig restaurant was great - lovely staff and very relaxing setting by the pool. Lovely food at breakfast. The pool was nice. The valet parking was well organised and staff very friendly. Easy to get to the Pier and the beach and to walk to lots of local restaurants nearby.

For the price I’d have expected shower screens rather than curtains over a bath in the rooms. Otherwise nothing, it was great. Would definitely stay again.

I loved the ease of walking to the beach and pier. The staff were warm and welcoming and very hospitable. We were placed in a spacious corner room next to the water filter in the hallway. The Dogtown coffee was delicious in the morning and we loved the pool and jacuzzi!

Wish there were two servers at the pool. We sat by the pool twice for a few hours and no one served us. We also wish there were more storage for toiletry bags in the bathroom.

Beautiful location and close to 3rd street Hotel Car to take you to the restaurants and pick you up and return to the hotel-was a great perk Perfect area for a morning walk or run

The price of room and food is on the high side. A Breakfast (2 eggs/sausage and bagel shouldn't cost $100) Outside of the above-I can't think of anything else that was bad

The hotel is in a brilliant location and service is incredibly friendly and attentive. We chose a suite to have space for our two kids and it worked really well. The ocean view from the windows was stunning - just a shame this section of the hotel doesn't have balcony's to enjoy though! The restaurants are brilliant - from the coffee shop for early morning coffees and pasties to the restaurant serving brunch on weekends the pool area serving food and drinks. Guest services were super helpful finding bike rentals for us and we used the street car to get a ride back from the beach - much easier than carrying the kids up the hill! We loved walking everywhere from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

The spa is nothing to write home about for a property of this calibre and the pool area can get cramped when it's busy - we managed to find chairs when we went but others weren't so lucky. And the suites need balconies!

Of course a beautiful hotel on the best location. It was clean, everything worked well, the stuff was amazing. We had a beautiful big room with a nice view and the possibility to fill up the water bottles on each floor. One of the most beautifullest garden areas where the restraunt was in, an amazing experience to eat dinner!

The hotel is very nice All the staff that saw were wonderful It has very nice location in Santa Monica The restaurants are nice ! Soko Sushi restaurant is exceptional!!

Overall nothing major that we didn’t like … The suite we took on the fourth floor is barely seeing the ocean ! The trees obstruct the view so much ! so in my opinion it should not be listed as ocean view !!

Housekeeping service was terrible. I had to call almost every day to get my room cleaned Terrible elevators. Service one wasn’t working so employees and carts were using guests elevators. Waiting lines all the time. It’s not nice for a so expensive hotel

The beautiful grounds, nice, spacious room and good fitness area.

F&B closes early, including no room service after 10pm and The Bungalow is closed on Mon-Tuesday. Not good when arriving on late evening flight on those days. Guest Elevators have been broken on my last two visits so they make the service elevator available.
