Apparently, there is a difference between the two buildings. The building where the reception is located must be the new building which is where we stayed. There was a confusion with our room so instead of getting one family room, they actually gave us two rooms and one of them had a separate mini-kitchen and sitting room which was perfect since we had a lot of luggage. The staff was friendly and our building was very updated and clean. The grounds were clean as well. The neighborhood was well lit and safe. The bathroom was modern and had a GREAT shower -- excellent pressure and hot water!

The mattress still had the plastic over it while I understand why, it made it a little more uncomfortable. It was also a harder mattress than I personally like. The food was ok, but at times you had to search out kitchen staff because nobody was in the dining room or kitchen. The included breakfast was lacking in comparison to my stay in Lilongwe. The items were not replenished often enough. I heard that the other building was much older and not as clean, but our building was very nice. I thought it was a little expensive for the country, but since we ended up with two rooms, it was a good price for us in the end. I would stay there again!

I had an excellent stay at Top Lodge, certainly, an improvement from my previous stays here. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, ensuring a warm welcome and attentive service throughout. The lodge itself was impeccably clean, and the pool area provided a perfect spot for relaxation. Additionally, the breakfast served at Top Lodge was simply delicious, and filling. Overall, I highly recommend Top Lodge for its friendly staff, cleanliness, delicious breakfast, reliable Wi-Fi, and inviting pool area.

Very western styled, so if you're looking for an ethnic experience, probably not for you. Having said that facilities were excellent, staff super friendly and helpful and the food was good

Staff were kind, helpful! They helped us with transportation to the airport and also into town to buy groceries and souvenirs.

Would be great if they took MasterCard or American Express. Only took cash and visa.

The lighting system was the only problem I had but I believe due to the weather and also if they could provide drinking water as well and also change the bedsheets regularly.

Very spacious rooms. Great shower. Friendly staff. We arrived very late, and fortunately they were still prepared to provide dinner.

They want to please their guests but need more experience. They are very happy to hear positive criticism and apply it. When there was electricity or when the generator was on, the internet was very good. They owner is thinking things through very seriously and everything looks well planned for. The cook was doing his best and did a great job. When I expressed special desires for food, they would buy it and prepare it.

The access into the pool itself needs to be improved. They are going to put in new steps to solve this problem. There were problems with electricity most of the time but they are working on improving it. Warm water for the shower was a problem but they are planning on solar solutions.

Reasonable value for money.

Breakfast service was not up to expectations. Staff could do well to visit a restaurant service at one of the bigger hotels to get some ideas about serving breakfast.
