Reception was ready for us upon our arrival. Friendly and fuss free check-ins. Rooms were recently refurbished, so many of the amenities were new, clean and in working order. Basic amenities are all there, iron, ironing boards, coffee maker, disposable sandals, etc. Room has a very ideal set-up for working & was quite spacious, toilet's big and clean with separate shower areas, option for shower or rain shower. Bed was comfy, comforter's warm & two type of pillows with different firmness to choose from. Nice and cosy, and despite what we have been told (by previous relatives who stayed there before); we had quite a good stay as the rooms were much better than we expected. Did not manage to use any of the hotel amenities outside as it was raining the 2 days we were there. Got water stations just outside the room, convenient for instant hot water/water refills.

Most of the instructions i.e. AC controller, is in Chinese! I get that their main customers are Chinese but not all Chinese can read Chinese, and also, are we not in Malaysia? We were at ground level & there were still construction materials left outside our balcony. No umbrellas in the room (tho can be loaned from the front desk). Bathroom/shower area, even tho its enclosed, water still leaks/flows out, so floor towel do get soaked if too near the shower area. Road leading to the resort is dark with no street lights, not even dimly lit! Wifi's ok when working, on the 2nd day, apparently half the town had no wifi (at least that's what we've been told) as it has been raining the 2 days we were there.

The pool was big enough to enjoy even when all the kids were taking over one end of it. The massage service was epic - I recommend. The room was larger than I needed but was the only one available - beds were comfortable, wasn ice to finally have an enclosed shower, a powerful hairdryer, and a large operable window so that I did not have to rely on AC for ventilation and could access better views.

The booking experience was not great. The default/automatic booking option was pay upon arrival. On the day of, prior to checkin time, the staff threatened to give my room away if I didn't pay but they didn't provide any payment details. It was sorted over a few hours but made for a stressful and unnecessary experience. Additionally, there was no vegan options on the menu. With 65% of the population being lactose intolerant (although live unknowingly and with gut issues), a high priced resort like this easily step it up by offering soy or oat milk alternatives and actual decent sized, vegan meals that have vegan protein like a variety of beans, legumes, nuts, etc

The view from my room, over looking the pool, sea, marina and sunrise couldn't be beat. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the pool is very good.

The TV wasn't great but had two American channels. The room was OK. Its a good 20 mins in to town walking which was OK for me but maybe not for everyone and I didn't see any Grab in the area. Maybe the hotel can arrange but I wanted the walk.

This resort has a beautiful view of the Sulu Sea. And it can be quite windy, too, but we liked it. Quite a few golfers frequent this place during our stay. The rooms has old furnishings but still quite comfortable. This hotel has a coway drinking water in the hallway to fill up the hotel glass bottle in the room. So no plastic bottles are used.

No eateries within walking distance.

Newly renovated bedrooms were excellent. Great sea views and lovely pool.

Staff were casual and not focused enough on clients needs. Breakfast poor by big hotel standards. The food was cold and often ran out. First time in 7 weeks of travelling in Asia, we had to pay a deposit for our room

kudat is a peaceful town, good place to run away from busy city, The resort is abit old but no bother for me and my girl,we both enjoyed. Breakfast , fried chicken and curry chicken super delicious!!! staff are helpfull and friendly alot parkibg space

Dinner that serve within the room package not that attractive and delicious.... Over priced Canned Beer Should do some repair for the bathroom door and the shower head. more lighting in bathroom especially above the ceiling of shower head full payment requested before stay , not as what booking.com mentioned no prepayment.

The rooms were just newly renovated so everything is brand new. The sea view room had a beautiful view. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom is very clean and beautiful. The environment was very serene and peaceful.

Breakfast option was quite limited.

The view from the room was amazing. (I was upgraded to the sea view at check-in without asking, which was kind as it’s an amazing view of the boats and a beautiful sunrise) the pool and gym were very good, opens at 8am. The room was very clean and cute. All the staff were lovely!

During my stays there was no Internet connection due to upgrading...it seems that it takes year to complete the upgrading...the process of upgrading was dictated by the service provider not the resort's management...the resort's management should be proactive in pursuing this matters since many of their guests are from overseas who came to play golf ⛳...

The swimming pool is great.My height is 155cm and the deepest part of it only reach my neck so I’m glad I can move around it. My kids love the pool and the staffs were friendly.
