An incredibly beautiful resort, very professionally managed, everything thought to the greatest detail. The views were marvelous, the food was delicious, the staff was polite and friendly, very accessible house reef. A lot of things to do starting from snorkeling excursions to various water sports activities and wellness treatments. Although almost all the villas were occupied, it still seemed very quiet. Highly recommend.

If you have seen some of the "best corral reefs in the world", this reef will disappoint you a bit. There is a good variety of fish, but the corrals are not in their best shape. Additional activites are pricey, beaware that you have to add around 27% to the price listed in the info materials. The resort boosts to be environmentaly sustainable. I do hope that the (insectide ?) spreads, which we saw were used in the island, as well as the leakage from the pipe in the house reef comply with sustainable environmental practices.

Me and my now wife just had the most incredible stay here at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef. From the moment we landed we were greeted with warm welcomes, where the Sun Siyam team took care of our bags allowing us to relax and enjoy the journey to our resort. Our resort manager Didi was absolutely brilliant! He took care of everything for us, booking our excursions, providing information clearly and promptly when requested, and tended to our every need during our stay. Sabiul our room cleaner was also fantastic. Always greeting us with a warm smile and very accommodating, working around our time scales to provide his service, making sure our over water villa was immaculate, clean and feeling fresh every morning and evening. The whole staff at Vilu Reef were so friendly and happy to help with any request. They really made our stay feel so relaxing and enjoyable. The island resort itself is incredible! Great size, not too big or small with a 5min walk from one end to the other, with fantastic facilities throughout. Picturesque beaches surround it with amazing reefs that you can swim and snorkel over at your leisure. The resort is teeming with wildlife, which was lovely to see each time we walked anywhere around the resort. I don't think there was a single negative that either me or my wife can think of and can't recommend it enough! So many incredible memories have been made on our trip, the pictures don't do the resort justice! The manta ray and whale shark snorkeling trip done directly from the resort was an absolute highlight. Thank you Didi, Sabiul and the whole Sun Siyam Vilu Reef team for making our honeymoon stay the trip of a lifetime!

Our experience at the resort was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a dedicated team at Male airport. We were transferred to a comfortable waiting hall stocked with an array of food and drinks. The local airplane transfer to the island was seamless, and upon arrival, we were greeted by an unbelievably beautiful setting. The island itself is dreamy, with stunning beaches and our villa, the largest on the island, exceeded all expectations with its beauty and luxury. A special thanks to Muhammad Shamzoon and the chef Chaminda and Mr. Shayan for the amazing food &service. Thanks to everyone in Aqua restaurant !!! It was such a great vacation there!!! We had an amazing time at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Maldives. As a couples holiday, cannot recommend the stay more. The overwater villa was spacious and elegant with unreal views. The beach, sand and water are exceptional. Perfect spot for snorkelling. Food is exquisite – one of the best breakfast spreads I’ve had with an array of choice. We ordered in both room service and tried the restaurants/buffet – can’t complain for either. Lots of cuisine options. The island resort is a world of its own. Considering it’s amongst the first Sun Siyam resorts, it’s very well kept and maintained. Definitely renovated. The island resort is paradise. Getting to the resort from Male Airport was an experience in itself with the seaplane – breathtaking views in that 40-min plane ride. My baggage was delayed by a day. Didi, our island host, arranged amenities and even a couple of outfits for me while I had to wait for my baggage. Above all, the service is impeccable and the staff at Vilu Reef are all so warm and welcoming – you’re so well taken care of with personalised service given to you. I just cannot emphasize enough on how some of the team helped in making our stay incredible. Shout out to – - Dilshad from F&B (checked on us everyday and got our personal ‘see you soon’ table at the end of our stay during breakfast!) - ⁠Sotti from the water sports department (who retrieved our GoPro when we accidentally dropped it within a deep snorkelling area) - ⁠Avish from F&B (so friendly and warm, and an amazing fire show host!) - Velu from housekeeping (incredibly personable and sweet who decorated our room with flower art every single day) - Manita from F&B (very friendly, we enjoyed our chats and her warmth) - Chef Arjun from F&B (incredible baker!) We had wonderful days at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, gorgeous resort with beautiful views and reefs... A special thanks to all the staff on the island, everybody is very kind and prepared, always there for anything you might need at any time. The transfer was perfect, from and to the airport, no issues so far, lounge available at arrival. The villa was a dream villa, so cozy, so spacious and with a nice size pool. A welcome wine bottle was much appreciated. Our host Niyaaf was the best, always online to answer any question we had during our journey, thanks to Sakhawath for keeping our villa extremely clean and to all the staff at Acqua restaurant, chef Chaminda who let us try different recipes from traditional indian and sri lanka food, the food actually was always fresh and tasty. Also a special thanks to Shayan, Yuri, Shakil and Amith of course (The Nautilus), they took a good care of the table service, an impeccable service. Thank you all for the hospitality and for an unforgettable time in the Maldives.

The experience was perfect right from the start. We were received by Resort staff at the Airpot. Professionally handled and escorted to the Sea Plane check-in counter. Received by our own Resort Host Mohamed who was in touch with us throughout our stay and helped with everything that was needed, excellent guy. The head chef Nitin made every effort to accommodate our requests and the food was fantastic, we specially loved the Positive Energy Cafe by the pool for snacks and Well Done for dinner is highly recommended. We ended up doing all our lunch snacking by the pool at Positive Energy Cafe and all our dinners, except 1 at Well Done. Spice restaurant location is very good, but we didn't like the taste so much. Babul was exceptional in taking care of our room and made sure we were never short on anything and the rooms were clean. Rooms were daily serviced by him 3 times and this guy is amazing. The whole staff, at the restaurants are great and very welcoming, especially the Chef at Well Done made sure the kids eat well and the food for kids there was always free with free deserts and icrecreams to follow-up. All-in-all, it has been one of the best trips of our lives and all thanks to the amazing team.

They had a small bucket filled with water on the beach side entrance of the room, but I would really recommend putting up a water tap or shower there. It will really help to get back in the room after washing the sand away.

They charge 12$ everyday for breakfast. Even though it was included in our booking at booking.com. We had breakfast including in our booking.

The staff were very welcoming, courteous and warm. The view from the lagoon villa was so serene that I spend two whole afternoons in the private pool while sipping wine. The food in "The Spice"(Thanks to chef Kushal for providing us with great culinary experience) and "Auqa" was great. Breakfast buffet had so many nice options. We also enjoyed the open sea diving experience after a proper 1:1 training session with most awesome diving instructor "Migey". Will definitely recommend folks to go for the diving excursion.

Amazing place with the whitest sand beaches and their own reef for snorkeling. The beauty of this place will etched in our minds for ever. Wonderful excursion and water sport options (don't miss the Jet ski). Super food - the chef ensured that the broad spectrum of diets in our group - vegan to vegetarian to full carnivore were fulfilled very tastefully even in the excursion. Cheerful, friendly and helpful staff. The seaplane ride is an attraction by itself. We can't wait to come back!

Each beach vila has its own privacy. We stayed in deluxe beach vila - for us the best choice as my wife could do sunrise yoga there and we had a direct entrance to the ocean. There is an absolutely amazing reef with a lot of fish, beautiful corals and other sea creatures. We loved our beach vila, it was very comfortable and practical equiped and always super clean as we had the best housekeeper that we have met so far (and we have already traveled the world and stayed in many 5* hotels and resorts). So we would like to send our many special thanks to Babul - he is such a kind person, always smiling, always saying some nice words to us, always profesional, taking care of our needs and wishing a nice day to us. Great job, thank you! We enjoyed the delicious food and last but not least delicious fresh coconuts at the beach during beautiful sunsets.

We must say that the lady at the reception desk when we were checking out had a truly rude behavior. She did not communicate at all, she did not smile, did not thank at all, she only gave us commands, she did not do, what she was supposted to so we had to go to the reception later again, when we found out what she should do but did not. Maybe for 1 star hotel this would be just enough, but definitely not for such a wonderful place. -/+ internet was very bad so this is a perfect place for a digital detox:)
