Everything! This was our first time to the Maldives and it won’t be our last. We visited for 1 week and regret not staying longer. Everything from the service to the room to the food to the spa was outstanding. We ventured here for our honeymoon and decided to upgrade our room to an over water suite on arrival and we are so glad we did! It was absolutely beautiful and gave us access to a different restaurant where we dined daily plus the infinity pool. The food options were fantastic - ranging from local cuisine to western options to freshly cooked pasta or salads meant we never got bored even after eating there 3 times a day for 7 days. We had done all inclusive trips before but this really was a memorable one and the way to go if you’re wanting a no fuss holiday. It also happened to be my birthday while away and the staff arranged a lovely card and birthday cake, plus a lovely birthday song in the local language. The lagoon area was absolutely beautiful and we spent a lot of time swimming there or in front of our water suite. The whole resort is quite contained but spread out enough that you can see new things easily if you want or easily stick to the stuff you want to enjoy - we didn’t get to use the gym or tennis court but we would definitely do this on our second visit. All in all it’s a lovely resort that was made even better by the staff who were beyond exceptional from the moment we stepped outside the airport. I highly recommend this resort!!

Nothing! I only regret not staying longer

This place is such a treat! It was our first time to the Maldives and we were very happy with our choice of resort. We were upgraded to a Beach Bungalow and, for us, this was absolutely the best option as it enabled us to walk out of our backdoor onto the sand and into the lagoon. Perfect! The room was really comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. We were only there for three nights and, despite it being peak dry season, we got torrential rain. However, this was a good excuse to enjoy a lovely lunch in the Tex Mex restaurant, as well as go for a massage. We really enjoyed the snorkeling and would have done excursions if the weather had been better. But we did see plenty of sea life in the lagoon, such as reef sharks, a turtle, a lion fish, a ray and titan trigger fish (we kept our distance, so no problem). We decided to go for half board which was ideal for us. We'd definitely do that again as there was plenty to eat on the breakfast and dinner buffets and the food was excellent. However, the food highlights for us were lunches in Tex Mex which were excellent!! It was lovely sitting there and watching a pod of dolphins swim by in the distance too. The staff work hard and in particular we were impressed with the cleaning staff who made up our room seemingly whenever we left it - it was like magic!

Snorkeling equipment is expensive to hire so bring your own (we only had one set of our own so had to hire the other one). The rain was so torrential that the route from our bungalow to the restaurant flooded (outside only) so we had to walk through calf deep water. That wasn't fun!

ACCOMODATION Stayed in water suites: big, clean, very comfortable with tea-coffe facilities, mini-bar (water, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee included into AI plan plus some extra items like chips and alcoholic drinks for additional charge) Two times per day room cleaning and refilling the mini-bar. Very good service. FOOD The resort has several types of accomodations and three different restaurants + bars assigned to them. Ours was Rehendhi and it was really a very good buffet with lots of delicious options from European, Asian (mostly Indian and Maldivian) and Middle Eastern cuisines. Five nights stay and every day there was something new from burritos to kebabs, from roasted turkey to wellington beef, from seafood wok to different types of curry. DRINKS Beer, white and red wine and strong spirits of "non-luxury" brands (and respective cocktails) are included into All Inclusive meal plan (as well as sparkling wine for breakfast in Rehendhi restaurant 🙂) Well-known alcohol brands (Glenfiddich, Grey Goose etc) are at extra charge or Ultra AI package. BEACH Water suites are not very suitable for swimming as there is a strong water current and the water is quite shallow (especially during low tide) while the sea bottom is covered with corals (water shoes and swim fins are very useful) Hotel's beach is very nice with white sand and comfortable access. Lots of different types of fish, including small reef sharks - we were snorkeling every day without going for any special tour. STAFF Very nice and hard-working people

We had an amazing experience at the resort! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is very good and diverse, whether you are vegetarian or any other food preferences. The staff made sure to ask us to clean the room 2 times/day. Although we didn't need it always, as we wouldn't spend too much time in the room, it is perfect for those who have kids, etc. The beach was always clean. The dinner under the stars was perfect, so quiet and very attentive staff. Also, teh water is perfect for snorkeling in the bay, as there are no currents.

Some more diverse pillows could be a plus, as fx, I use soft pillows, and my partner the hard ones. But it is not something that would stop me from visiting again.

There is absolutely nothing not to like! Overall, fantastic property with short distance to Male, that is maintained so well around the clock (house keeping visits twice daily), incredible staff whose focus is solely centered around customer satisfaction, stunning island, and plenty of amenities to keep one busy!!

- I think the best thing about it were the staff - super friendly and kind. - There were lots of options for food and live cooking stations - They put together a Beautiful decoration for my sons’ bday as a surprise - Lots of fish to snorkel and see near the shoreline - The staff waving us goodbye when we left - They cleaned our rooms 2-3 times a day which was very nice - Very few mosquitoes as they fog the place regularly so this was greatly appreciated - Great park for kids to play in and table tennis

- Suggest you pack and bring your own snorkelling gear, the shop is extremely over priced! - They had a “kids food station” at buffet but 70% of the time there was Nothing there. You had to just get things from the normal buffet. - no one came around to discuss excursions that were available so we only found out about some by chance on our last day and we were there 6 nights. - would be nice if they had more international cuisine, a lot of it seemed to be similar to Indian foods - waves from the sea flooded the walk way daily, they need to build a wall to prevent the sea water flooding the hotel paths

The staff was very friendly , helpful and gentle. Layout of rooms and restaurants were very handy. Sea , Rooms and island were very clean.

Food were not as good as we expected , I think buffet can be updated. We ate noodle & pasta 3 nights.

It was our first time in Maldives. We were fascinated by the beauty of the island, but we were also impressed by the hospitality of the hotel. It`s very nice that at the airport there are people who meet you and lead you to a speedboat. You don`t need to worry about how to get to the hotel, everything is already arranged for you. What I also liked is the check-out process. My flight back home was 9pm (pretty late). I was allowed to stay on the territory of the hotel until 6 pm (yes I had to return the room key at 12pm, but I still could enjoy the services of the bar, the beach. This is incredible! ) Before arriving at the hotel, I had some questions which were answered in a timely and clear manner. Especially, I would like to mention the friendliness of the resort staff. Those are people who made our vacation so enjoyable. Cinnamon Dhonveli should be happy to have Ratiqul! He is a warm-hearted, sincere man. And he makes really delicious cocktails! Our waiter (sorry I don`t remember his name) was also very friendly and knew our preferences very well. It was very nice to see him meet us every time we came to the restaurant for a meal. Everything was excellent - food (the variety of food is good, I always wanted to try a bit of everything so delicious it looked), room (design, location, room cleaning - amazing), activities (I didn`t bring a book with me and how happy I was to see that I could choose one there!; we played badminton every day, we tried tennis and pingpong; I also went to gym a couple of times). This is great because when you get tired of sunbathing and swimming, you can do something else. It was an excellent vacation, we really enjoyed our staying at Cinnamon Dhonveli.

the only thing I didn't like were the desserts in our restaurant (however there are 3 restaurants on the territory of the hotel, we didn`t want to try the other two as the food in our restaurant was delicious, I just didn`t find any dessert I could enjoy)

The staff and the facilities that they provide were absolutely impressive! The staff is very polite and caring which made my honeymoon so much more warm and peaceful. They decorated our bed and our room thrice, and all of us had a special Christmas party. They did a phenomenal job in arranging the party on the beach and making it all feel so jolly! The beach bungalows are one of a kind, and they are perfect for a honeymoon suite. I was able to view and have a dip in the ocean from my room! They have kept it all very clean and well maintained. I give this hotel a 11 out 10 because that's how impressive it is!
