Owner and staff went out of their way to help in any way they could, and offerred anything that was not immediately available. They were all extremely attentive at all times. A really friendly and inviting attitude.

There wasn't anythiing that we didn't like, and if there was something that we found missing or out of order, this was immediately fixed. The breakfast wasn't 'fabulous' as stated in the Booking.com advert,, but every effort was made by the owner/staff to satisfy one's particular choice. We highly recommend you wear water shoes when entering the sea as there is a lot of underwater coral and stones which make standing on the bottom quite painful. Sadly there is a lot of construction going on in order to provide for more tourism which will, in time, undoubtedly spoil this beautiful atol of Ukulhas

The staff at Beach Veli is what makes this place special! Riska and Krishna were both very friendly and took good care of us. But the current manager Ula is by far the heart and soul of Beach Veli! She has experience with many nationalities and went above and beyond to accommodate us. She works tirelessly from sunrise until late night, was therefore always available for all our questions and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and happy. Even organised a custom trip where she joined and took care or everything, which was above her duties. There is more praise for her but in short: We cannot imagine Beach Veli without her! Now to the accommodations: We had the Deluxe Double room with view to the garden but often kept the blinders closed anyway as we were frequently changing clothes in the room. + good Wifi + Air conditioning + 30 second walk to gorgeous beach that feels private + hot water in shower + huge bed + clean + soap & shampoo provided + water cooker, tea and instant coffee in the room + free sun beds + free water + Family atmosphere which makes mingling with other guests easy and gives a relaxed vibe

- mosquitoes in the morning and evening (true for most places on the island) - amenities a bit dated - no sound isolation (but never stopped us from sleeping as Ula arranged quiet time after 22:00) - Construction site near by (like currently everywhere on the island but didn’t bother us as Ula arranged with them not to make noise before 10:00 a.m.)

One step from the beach! Very Nice staff. Great breakfast. Thank you Krishna ! In the guest house these is a peasant peaceful atmosphere. You can meet wonderful cool people there. Thol organize great excursions. I highly recommend the sunset fishing. Thank you for your kind attentions. Thank you for introducing me the the local women community. I met great local friends and I learned to cook some Maldivian dishes.

I don't usually leave recommendations, but I really liked literally everything. Starting with the manager who accompanied me through whatsapp all the way there and back, the hotel staff, who even gave me a tour of the beach and showed me clearly where it is better to do snorkeling. The beach is literally in front of the hotel and looks more like a private beach, where you can just enjoy the view and sit in silence with your thoughts. Everything was clean and cozy in the room, the only thing that could be improved is breakfast and snorkeling vests) And so everything is super, I will definitely return there again, but not alone, otherwise there is nothing to do on the island in the evenings))

Ulah has been an amazing host and very helpfull organizing Tours and join us as guide. the guesthouse staff is very nice and polite. Very good position, big rooms, nice breakfast

my room was a bit dark and wit humidity as the only window was internal ( facing the internal corridor) so I couldn’t open it.

We found Beach Veli to be the best option for us in Ukulhas. The room was really spacious and perfectly clean fitted with aircon as well as ventilator. We got beach towels and could use snorkels & fins every day free of charge. Perfect location steps away from the bikini beach… there was nothing not to like. I want to point out the excellent service separately, as the team at the Beach Veli wasn’t shy to fulfill special wishes (laundry, late checkout…) with a big smile. Due to food poisoning I was in the hospital for one day and the owner Thol himself stopped by, brought me a fresh coconut and had the restaurant cooking a special recovery soup. Excellent stay!! We’re very thankful and can wholeheartedly recommend.

The WiFi did sometimes act up, but this would only bee important if you need to work /have meetings.

This place is wonderfully located on a beautiful island. The staff is wonderful -- they picked me up from the ferry and walked me to the guesthouse, which is about 30 steps from an absolutely amazing beach, were you can go snorkeling (for free!) and see nurse sharks, reef sharks, sea turtles, sting rays, and soooo many fish. The staff at Beach Veli even loaned me snorkeling fins for free. They have a couple of cozy little beach pods for lounging in the shade on the sand, and their breakfast is fantastic. There are lots of good restaurants for dinner and food shops around town...it's all completely wonderful and I wish I could have stayed longer.

Not sure if this is the case for all the rooms, but mine didn't have any windows, so it was a bit cave-like. And there are little rodents (not sure if they're big mice or small rats) that run around on the island at night and one of them was determined to visit my room each night by wiggling in through the space under the door. Feel the nature!

The guesthouse is a bit worn out, but we did not care because the staff ( Karissa and Krishna) were super kind and helpfull all the time. We can say that the beach is easy to reach and just in front of the hotel. We enjoyed snorkling in the sea and saw colorfull fish and a turtle as well as little sharks. Near the hotel there were many shops and restaurants. We were able to have relaxing time because the island was silent and we had the impression that it was a safe enviroment.

Loved Beach Veli. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Good shower and many towels were provided. It was quiet despite a number of other guests staying there. Thol was an incredible host/owner, you felt like part of his family. Thol went above and beyond at all times to ensure you had the best experience while staying at Beach Veli. He showed us from the ferry terminal to Beach Veli and told us all the important things we should know about Ukulhas on the way. The house reef is incredible and only a short walk from Beach Veli. We will be back, I will be recommending Beach Veli, Thol and his team to everyone!

I just love meeting other guests and making friends and sharing excursions together. The closeness to the beach. The nice staff. Thol is very helpful and kind and Krishna is just wonderful with the guests. I have a wonderful experience there. I loved learning how to prepare the Maldivian breakfast in the morning and meeting the neighbours and cool with them. I will never forgot my beautiful stay at Beach Veli!
