Stayed in cabin and it was clean. No mosquitos in the room at night. The property was charming and private. The outdoor shower was nice and clean. Internet was also good. Staff and the host were friendly and very helpful. Area and property were also safe.

Very hot inside tent/cabin and everywhere during the day. There's no air conditioning in the common area or in tents/cabins. The heat was something I was not expecting and was quite strenuous on the body. If you're there during the summer and require AC, then you should book room with it. Also lots of mosquitos during the evening dusk hour.

I ended up staying here for 3 nights - lovely place, one of the best and last (if you’re heading south) with a hostel vibe (next one is in Freetown and then nothing until Ghana). The owner made some copies of my documents free of charge and in general even the guys there were very helpful.

One of my soccer jerseys (shirts) wasn’t returned when I did laundry there. If you see one of the guys with an original 2024 West Ham jersey (kit) well…that’s why I didn’t rate it 10/10 but only 9/10…unfortunately I didn’t notice it until I left for Senegal.

The dorm room is great with plenty of space. The beds have mosquito nets and there's an AC in the room. The terrace on the roof is perfect to chill. Breakfast is good too! It's clean and a safe place in a chaotic city. If you have to spend time in Nuakchot I can definitely recommend to stay in this hostel.

It's not the cheapest place especially for a dorm room but it's a safe and clean place.

The property has a lovely vibe and the owner especially, is extremely helpful and engaging. Very useful in a city where you can need some guidance and help to travel around and see everything you want in a short space of time.

Nothing. There was a minor issue when we stayed short term with the electrics (this is Africa) they were straight on it, and provided solutions. I had a great deal of faith they would have worked a lot harder than some neighbouring hotels/accommodation.

Great hostel in Nouakchott - Tristan is very nice hospitable host and he gave me loads of advice on how to proceed my travels in Mauritania. It is the ultimate place for some rest in Nouakchott. If you would like to meet up with other travellers, then I highly recommend this place. This has been my favourite stay in the whole of Mauritania - would 100% come back.

No frills accommodation but very authentic. The host is very helpful and will provide any information you might need. Good ambiance any plenty of fellow travelers. Good value. Recommended.

It gets hot in the tents very early in the day... But there is not much to do about it. Besides that no complaints.

Nice courtyard, lots of space, interesting guests. Great hot showers. So good! Sebastien can set you up with contacts in others places and converts euros at a decent enough rate. First stayed in the dorm, then the buglaow on the roof. Very airy. Comfortable. Staff on hand, very good and a safe place. Just get your French standards up when Sebastien is not around.

This was a safe and comfortable place to begin and end my trip in Mauritania. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and Sebastian, the owner, was very competent and trustworthy; open to answering any logistical questions. For one of the nights I was alone (I'm a woman in my 40s) and I felt entirely safe.
