Absolutely incredible location at the near-top of a mountain. Beautiful finishes and attention to detail. Lovely staff. Good breakfast included. View is incredible. Room was very comfortable and well equipped — loved the bath. The hotel is a work of modern art. You must stay here at least once if you are coming to Oaxaca. It’s not ‘in town’ which means you have forest and quiet available.

That full 5-star customer service experience was slightly lacking, more I believe due to lack of experience of staff. For example I wasn’t advised of facilities like gym or rooftop. No idea what else I missed. Regardless I would still recommend and rebook. Moved hotels as was some loud construction next door (not hotels fault and they let me shorten my booking which I appreciated).

The grounds were beautiful. the details were chosen carefully and the hotel has a great aesthetic. The service was also top notch. Whenever we needed something they responded right away. The view is also incredible.

If you stay on a Saturday night there is very loud music playing on the roof until about 12:00am. The door to the hallway is also paper thin and we heard someone walking around in heels at 1:00am. Our stay on the Sunday night was much more quiet. The hotel is also up in the mountains so we were prepared to stay at the hotel exclusively for our two day stay. For others wanting to travel into Oaxaca it’s about a $350 peso ride into town.

beautifully curated, I loved the designer and landscape architect were Oaxacans. what a stunning experience. we liked being away from the city at this phase of our trip, we went hiking, ate at small family restaurants and spent a lovely amount of time poolside.

the food was beautiful, but not as delicious as every other meal we had at restaurants

The design of this hotel is very special and gives you a unique experience. Bedroom & bathroom were very nice too. From the restaurant you will have an amazing view of the Town. I recommend this hotel besides the far location from the center.

Unfortunately the location of the hotel is not so practical especially if you plan organized activities through travel agencies etc. From the middle of the Town you will need probably around 20 min to get there. Breakfast and restaurant can also get improvement related to the card and services.

incredible view & amazing decor

DO NOT take a room on the lower ground floor level… The restaurant is directly above it & it’s has no soundproofing so you hear everything so early nights out the question & you’ll be up early too.. Take a room on the ground floor with a balcony your in heaven. Also the chef needs to not try so hard… The food could be great but he’s trying to hard with to much glamour..

Their power was out for hours with no running water. Expensive and bad food. Most expensive hotel in the city. Way in the middle of nowhere.
