The location and the hosts are absolutely amazing. From the room we had a direct view on the monkey fingers mountain range, better and closer by then the "official" viewpoint down the road. The family running the place is very, very hospitable, lovely people and great cooks on top of that. The day we where there it was (literally)freezing outside and inside. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we stayed warm, offering tea, extra blankets and a gas stove to heat up the room. To top it all off, there's a nice cat around the premises (Monty) who's an absolute sweetheart. 10/10 on value for money and location.

If we have to be nitpicking, the shower temperature was not very stable, being warm for a bit and then cooling down before reheating. That was a very minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of the amazing stay overall.

The location is truly exceptional, you feel the house is part of the landscape. The owner Mohammed, was very nice and always trying to provide anything we needed. He gave us 3 rooms for 5 people (instead of 2) even though 2 of the rooms had an extra bed. It is a handmade house, with a very rustic but nice feeling. Lots of nice touches and decor. Very silent at nights. The views from our own beds were amazing. There is a patio right looking over the mountains where the tables for eating are placed. It’s very fresh at night and you can see the starts and feel like you are in the middle of the mountains. Breakfast was very good. One of my daughters has celiac disease and Mohammed made sure there was always gluten free food available for her. Parking, as described is very close, but not right at the door. you have to walk a few meters with your luggage, but it’s a short distance and it wasn’t a burden for us.

The stay at Maison Isabel was truly exceptional. Each morning, guests enjoy a delightful breakfast on the terrace, which offers picturesque views overlooking the stunning landscape of Monkey Fingers. The surrounding area is not only beautiful but also remarkably tranquil—there are no disturbances to disrupt your peaceful mornings. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the attentive service provided by Mohamed and his family ensures that every guest’s wishes are met. In the evenings, guests have the delightful option of ordering a delicious dinner from the host. Convenient on-site parking is also available.

Maison Isabel is a little gem. Staying here was more like a homestay with a Moroccan family than a typical stay in a hotel. Mohamed the owner was very welcoming as were all the family, and he was very knowledgeable of the local area. The room was very basic and the bed too hard for us, but the views over the valley and the great home-cooked food made up for that. A short walk from the guesthouse there are local villages and old kasbahs to explore that can be accessed via the gardens in the valley. There is also a canyon not far from the property with rock overhangs, twists, and turns, and it is definitely worth seeking out the hidden entrance. The much-photographed zigzags at Tisdrine are not far from Isabel and worth the 15-minute drive to sip a coffee and watch the traffic negotiate the bends up and down the valley. I look forward to visiting this area again.

Great stay at Maison Isabel. It feels like home. The terrace is amazing with a beautiful view on the Monkey Paws and the canyon. You can also start the trek into the canyon from the house. It was just perfect. Also, Moha and his family are amazing hosts. Moha was so nice, very welcoming, and has a great sense of humor. We really felt comfortable staying there. I also have to mention that the tajine was one of the best tajines I've had in Morocco. I definitely recommend the place !

We had a very great and unique stay at this place. The owners were super friendly, generous and did everything to make us feel home and comfortable. Moha is super funny and helped us a lot in planning our hiking routes. You can start your hikes directly from the homestay which makes the location perfect. Also the views from the terrace and our room were breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and prepared with a lot of love. The room was very clean, authentic and cozy. We really liked the entire atmosphere and this was one of the highlights of our entire trip through Morocco. Thank you again for everything. :) We would definitely come back anytime.

Everything was perfect

The surroundings are stunning, since the guesthouse is right in Dades Gorge. The host family is very kind. The house is traditional and beautifully decorared. Great value for money. Would definitely go back.

Being in the middle of the mountains, be prepared for the cold. In the morning I had no hot water to shower, maybe that is not common

Basic accommodation, clean, good breakfast, good internet. Host was also very nice. They also cook meals acting as a small restaurant, the tajin was really good. The view is amazing. Good value for money. Unfortunately our child was sick already so we could not hike the area and initially planned.

Top location - actualy we liked it most of our trip and we total fall in love in these beautifull area - first day we did lower trek until the gorge of the river and back, next day up to the slot canyon and futher up to the mountains..we like so much the power and energy in these place..my kids were enjoying so much....rooms are simple but very nice decorated and warm...staff is so generous, meals are preapred with love...jummmy dinner and delicious breakfast-pancakes,fruits,eggs,homemade jams,honey,chappati, sweets,best mint tea on tour....cant wait to come back for more days - next time i can easy spend here one week...travelled for 3rd time in Morocco and these is our best place

Lovely place in Tamelallt. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, the shower at a pleasant temperature. Moha, the owner, is warm-hearted, welcoming and attentive. The breakfast, served on the terrace is another highlight with delicious local, all natural products. I highly recommend to try dishes from the in house kitchen. The tajine is amazing. I will definitely come back.
