Тhe ROOM was surprisingly spacious, with large French windows, offering a great view of the Theatre Afifi area, a part of the beach and the vast ocean vista with the ebb and flow cycles - great view! The two separate beds were very comfortable. An especially nice feature of the room are the VERY massive and THICK CURTAINS a blessing for a better sleep! A great asset of this hotel is the rooftop cafe with great view of the beach and the Atlantic! The BREAKFAST at La Place is exceptionally good for this price bracket! It offers a great variety of local staples like msemen, cheese dips, mini tomatoes, Moroccan mint tea and fresh juice from the best oranges in the world, to more common items like porridge, eggs, various cakes, coffee etc.etc. The breakfast staff are among the nicest and most obliging people on the planet: always kind and smiling, no matter how late you turn up for breakfast, they serve you patiently and never rush you! Amazing people! The RESTAURANT at the hotel deserves a separate mention: not only does it deliver an excellent breakfast but it also serves meals for lunch and dinner and excellent ones! Although the restaurant offers a fixed menu, Chef Hicham and Chef Yusef are great cooks and very friendly. Chef Yusef prepared especially for us on request some Moroccan specialties like Maakouda patties, Loubia bean soup, harira and chorbet adas soup, various tagines and cous-cous! Great guy and a great master of cooking - one of the best in town! Soumia and the other girls at the reception were extremely polite and willing to oblige! All in all, the staff at La Place, El Jadida impressed us with exceptional standards of friendliness and hospitality!

Practically - nothing! The surrounding area is a bit busy and can be somewhat noisy during working hours. But at night the neighbourhood is quiet + the hotel is equipped with solid double-glazing which isolates external noises quite well!

All the staff were superb! The receptionist/host was incredibly helpful with many things which she solved straight away, including helping with emails for boarding passes and general advice. This was the best hotel after 3 week's travelling in Morocco and 6 towns. Fantastic views. The hotel is in the very centre, which is full of life. The rooms are fully equipped, air con, and black out curtains plus a great bathroom and very comfy beds. Breakfast is marvellous, many options available, but the almost instant freshly cooked to order omelette is a great start to the day. The La Place is a great place to stay, in a town often overlooked for a holiday. Thank you. Mr Paul

Having to leave. This was the best hotel after 3 week's travelling in Morocco and 6 towns.

Good value for money and well located basic hotel located in centre of town within short walk of everything. Garage parking available across the road for a small fee which was great to have a secure place to leave our motorbike. The rooftop terrace café provides a lovely view over the town and bay, especially at sunset. Had a good dinner in the restaurant for 90Dh each.

Room was small with thin walls but bed was comfortable and we slept well.

I like the kindness of each of the receptionists, I came with someone and they were very accommodating when there was a misunderstanding via telephone. Service was definitely given with a smile, and that is something that I appreciate. I like the welcoming feel for me as a foreigner because that is important in maintaining my business. I don't like feeling like an outsider nor treated as one, and the staff here did an excellent job in making me feel right at home. The cleaning crew was definitely the highlight of my stay. They cleaned my room as if a new customer was coming in to stay. I see why they maintain such high rating. They honestly do live up to their ranking. My best part was my ability to take my breakfast to my room, I like eating privately, and the staff definitely accommodated in that as well. Last but not least, the roses the receptionist gave me made me fall in love with this establishment. She didn't have to, but she did, and it warmed my heart to the fullest. Overall, this was an awesome experience for me as a first-time traveler from across the globe. I would definitely recommend this place and make it my choice of stay in the future.

The only thing I didn't like was the off-centered personality of the cook. He at first was very welcoming and suddenly became cold. I would smile and speak, and he was not friendly anymore. Maybe he was having a bad day. We all are entitled to that, but the male receptionist immediately made up for it. I dare not give a bad rating because of one person. This was a great experience in spite of that incident.

Modern hotel with all mod cons. 6th storey with cafe with fantastic views over sea on top floor. Stayed here 3 nights as I enjoyed it so much. Good breakfast. Very near sea, Portuguese ancient city walls. Lots of seafood restaurants too. Very vibrant and cosmopolitan city with a Spanish feel.

Club bar opposite playing loud music, but it was only till 11pm. The scrapping of chairs from cafe above my head til 9.30pm. My room was directly below it. I still consider it good value.

Superb hotel which exceeded all of my expectations by far. Approx. 35 hotels in 5 years and this is the first one to get a 10. Hands down. Room: Spacious, very light because of the 4 glass ceiling-to-ground sliding doors. I had a room with sea view and could enjoy the sunrise to the fullest. Very comfortable queen size bed. Very clean. A compact bathroom (Small would sound negative) which was very clean as well. Also enough thick bed linen in the closet to keep you warm in case of very cold nights. Staff: All very friendly and working hard. Breakfast: Clean and bright restaurant with plenty of food to choose from. Hotel: Located in the heart of the action on walking distance from the old Portuguese city, the beach and other places to be/see. The hotel has a rooftop bar from which you can enjoy the view. The hotel is kept very clean in all areas. Value: More than exceptional. Noise: There is no noise... It's the sound of life in the heart of a city.

No dislikes, would love to come back and stay again.

Very good location. Few minutes walk away from medina, beach and local market. Good views from room . Liked setup of room...Very practical for traveler. Has refrigerator and elevator. Good breakfast buffet.

Toilet a little too close to back wall of bathroom.

This is a lovely hotel, staff really friendly and professional. the location is fairly good for parking and on the street our car was safe overnight. the bed and shower were excellent as was our breakfast.

The only slightly minus point is the locality. Very few restaurants and the area is quite run down but saying that we left our car overnight on a street around the corner and it was still there unscathed the next morning. Would we stay at this hotel again YES.

The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful, as were the rest of the staff I ran into at breakfast and in the lobby. This is a great location near the Portuguese city, and my room had a nice view of the ocean.

I had to keep the windows shut at night because the city stays active until later at night, but thankfully the room did have air conditioning.

It's clean and has great location. The bed was really comfortable!

The road next to hotel is heavy with traffic the whole night, everything can be heard through the windows. Also the breakfast could be improved.
