Situated on a main street with a few restaurants nearby. It's an an easy cab ride to Durbar Marg, Thamel, and the airport. The room and specifically the bed were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had variety and offered an omelet station and coffee machine. The rooftop bar and infinity pool are lovely, with a great view of the city and friendly bartenders.

The shower had hot water and good water pressure, but with just the half wall, the floor flooded.

The friendly and helpful staff, the clean rooms, the roof top restaurant. We liked how quiet our room was and how quick staff was to help us with anything we needed. We liked the wide selection at breakfast.

The AC unit was blowing right over our head (over the bed) it was quite uncomfortable even on low setting. We got the facility for the pool but the water was so cold, we did not get to use it. The hotel advertise a fitness room but it's not actually in the hotel and was closed during our stay.

Breakfast was outstanding, healthy choices for vegetarians and non veg alike. Staff was beyond gracious, welcoming and helpful! Special thanks to Bedant and the front desk staff, everything with a warm smile, amazing welcome to Kathmandu! You can swim in the pool overlooking Kathmandu! Comfortable beds and hot showers!

A little noisy from the restaurant/club if you want an early night, need to take a car to get to Thamel area

The hotel was amazing, especially the rooftop bar and the staff working there. The quality of service provided by Sanjay, Sudip, Pardip, Alon and Kolpana exceeded our expectation. Special thanks to everyone working at the reception, helping us with everything. We were especially grateful for Suyan's kindness and supportive attitude! We will be staying here for sure during our next Nepal trip!

Hotel Shambala was one of the highlights of our visit to Kathmandu. The hotel was well situated with easy access to the city centre, and has good sized rooms, a wonderful rooftop restaurant, bar and pool, and top class international and local cuisine. Above all, Shambala made us feel immediately at home with its dedicated and friendly staff. Notably Rusha, Swastika and Prem at the front reception we’re especially professional, courteous and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Hotel Shambala to anyone visiting Kathmandu.

The service at this hotel is par excellence. The staff are beyond amazing and would do everything in there capacity to make your stay way more comfortable. Special mention to the front desk staff abhishek who went out of the way, to arrange cabs, fx or whatever was requested for me. 10/10 to every member of the staff

Very friendly and attentive staff. Good food and amazing view from roof top bar/cafe/pool area. I spent over a month there and really felt at home and taken care of.

nice, clean and very friendly staff! the pool on the top was great ! foods in the restaurant also good. I was twisted my foot badly, hotel of staff gave me a lot of help and really appreciate that . I highly recommend this hotel .
