We spent four nights at Hotel Green Valley Nagarkot in early May 2025. We stayed in Room 105, on the first floor and with a corner balcony that afforded fantastic views. (We were offered one floor up but preferred the first floor as it was nice to have views of the scenery and the trees – we are interested in birds! – for unobscured mountain views you’d be better off on the second floor.) Our room was very comfortable and cosy. Having explored Nagarkot a bit I’m confident that Hotel Green Valley occupies the best location in town, you truly can get sunrise views from your bed! But at the same time are only a short walk from other amenities and hiking routes. The food at the hotel was of a very high standard and the portions extremely generous. But I think what really makes Hotel Green Valley stand out is the exceptional customer care delivered by the staff, especially Sudip who couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy during our stay and Ram who was so keen to make sure we had the best room. One of the very few hotels in Nagarkot which actually has a mountain side view from the bedroom balcony. You need not go elsewhere for Sunrise View. It's available right outside your room window. Hotel is pretty old, but maintained well. Rooms are spacious, reasonably clean. Bedsheets, Towels etc clean. Reasonably good restaurant present in the hotel. They gave us limited menu, but good fresh, hygienic complementary breakfast. 24 Hours hot water supply present. AC working well. Unfortunately there was so much fog that we couldn't have a view of Himalayas.

The facility was clean and comfortable. The balcony viewpoints were amazing for sunrise (although we had foggy days) & general relaxation. Short walk to town and hikes... Hot water cool air conditioning Staff was super friendly. Breakfasts/dinners were delishious The property is a bit worn, could use updates/rehab especially on woodwork We would stay again & recommend

The rooms and overall amenities are better than other hotels in the area. The staff (including the manager) is superb friendly. Most spectacular thing is the view. Its a general issue with Nagorkot that its hard to find a vehicle in InDrive. Otherwise everything is 10/10.

Its hard to find an uber/vehicle service there. Bit network issue but wifi covers it up.

I love the location of the hotel, it’s on the mountain overlooking the Himalayas, unfortunately I couldn’t see the top of it as it was cloudy but it was still gorgeous and peaceful. Perfect place to get out of the busyness of Kathmandu and relax for 1-2 nights, or longer. Tasty food, good wifi, clean sheets and towels, spacious room, lovely balcony with view over the Himalayas, and the staff was super nice and helpful.

The road to get there was not great, at the time some road work was being done. But it was still worth it.

We really liked the location, a little bit away from the city center so it was nice and quiet with no traffic. It had the perfect view of the mountain range in the fortunate to have many clear days The large windows and sliding glass door allowed us to sit inside under the warmth of the heating system during those early morning hours when it was still fairly chilly outside, but when the mountain views are most clear. The supplied hot water kettle let us sit and sip our tea and instant coffee in comfort while enjoying the mountain views. On those days when the mountains remained visible until about midday, we were also able to enjoy sitting out on our deck.  We eat virtually all our meals there, and the food was excellent with a lot of variety. It was also helpful to us that we were able to pay for the rooms and our meals with a credit card, a service that has not provided him any of the Budget hotels.

The hotel manager Mr. Ram is a great person. The location is superb. one great thing the road ends here in hotel. food was really nice. family friendly environment. Really missing to stay more days.

Nothing to unlike, early morning found poop of some kind of animal ( maybe dog/ cat) wasn't clean for long time.. Although , it didn't bothered us at all.

excellent location. From the windows of all rooms there is a beautiful view of the valley and, in good weather, a view of the entire Himalayan range. Comfortable, large, clean rooms and excellent, best shower (which is rare in Nepal). Courteous staff, friendly administrator. Nice restaurant with a wide selection of dishes, freshly prepared delicious food.

This is not a minus, but a wish: to clean the floor a little better

We loved the view from the balcony. Staff was accomodating and helpful especially Ram and Sudeep. They help us also with our transport. We ordered some food and it was better than some restos in the area. Bed was comfy.

They just didnt have a safety vault.
