We liked the outside space and the facilities. We really liked the breakfast and the fact that a gluten free breakfast was provided after we pre-ordered it. It was really appreciated. The hostel has a good vibe with lots of games for young children. We used the swimming pool next door too, which was very reasonably priced and lots of fun. We also used the washing machine (for a little extra) which was really useful.

There were some areas of the room which seemed like they hadn't been cleaned for a while. Our overall experience was very positive though.

The rooms were essential but perfectly clean. Breakfast was good and there was a good choice. Not shared kitchen (odd in a hostel) but possibility to have dinner at a reasonable price (18e/adult, 10e/child) or to bring your food to be eaten in the garden. Cozy place to chill out in the garden. Possibility to rent bikes 12e/day.

A very nice and peaceful place to stay - the hostel is calm and relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast included fresh groceries. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway on Texel.

This place reminded me of my time in the army: everything was practical, cheap, and efficient. Also, the breakfast was exactly the same every day, which might not suit everyone.

For Dutch conditions and The experience of bed and breakfasts in the Netherlands so far is a quite a large selection and varied additions, tasty coffee. Nice, modern object and decor. Restaurant and bar. Nice staff. The solution to carry the dishes yourself and put them on the dishwasher tray - This is a very good solution it is better to have a large selection of food and a good breakfast and partially self-service Which reduces costs and gives the possibility of greater variety and tasty breakfast congratulations on the idea.

It's hard to say that I didn't like it at all... A small but pleasant and clean room with small but reasonably comfortable beds. A bit stuffy. Sink in the room and separate toilet and shower (shower turns itself off every few minutes ;-). It is ok for one/two nights.

Location is great, very central when visiting other parts of the island, close to the centre of Den burg. We had a room with doors opening onto the playing field which is great for kids. Nice atmosphere in general, the bar / lounge room was comfortable with games to play. Breakfast was decent. We would go again!

The bathroom in our room was very basis and felt uncomforable even though it was clean. Long queue at breakfast. I missed a door mat to wipe your feet as we had a room with doors onto the playing field. The floor got very dirty because of this (grass and mud). The positives definitely overshadow the negatives.

The location was good, within a walking distance from the city center of Den Burg. The staff were friendly and willing to help. Maybe things were not necessarily "super special" as a cheap hostel, but it was overall quite satisfying for the low cost!!

There was actually nothing much to complain about.

The food was great! I mean - this was not your typical hostel dining but taken to a completely new level. Great breakfast, amazing choice, healthy options included. On one evening, we also took the opportunity to have a dinner prepared by an amazing Italian cook and it was a great experience. Secondly, the atmosphere of the hostel was super friendly and very family accommodating. The hostel provides great facilities for adults and kids alike and it's just a pleasure to enjoy the stay with all the provided activities. And thirdly, the location is perfect. Beautiful nature all around, just a few steps from the town, where you can get anything you need, centrally located and possible to cycle anywhere. We were in love and we'll be back.

We were pleasantly surprised as normally hostels have a dubious reputation. This was a very clean and spacious room, very basic but it was more than enough for us for one night. It was warm, the beds were comfortable enough and the bathroom facilities clean and enough for us. Breakfast was quite busy due to the number of people staying there, but we had enough to eat and it was again in a nice and comfortable area. Staff were very friendly and efficient, it was a good stay.

It wasn't top class like some hotels, but there isn't anything really that I can point out as a negative.

Breakfast was pretty good. We went during a slow season and the hostel was almost empty and therefore we had to fill in what we wanted for breakfast on one of the days, which I appreciated as there wouldn't be much food thrown away.

The rooms were pretty tight, especially if you didn't want to sleep in a bunk bed, but for the price (during the winter at least) it was fine.

Good location near the largest town on the island, close to the most famous beaches, spacious common areas. Quite a generous breakfast, and the island’s nature is beautiful.
