Nice building, formerly a boarding school. Nice renovations, with very modern decoration and room layout/facilities. We liked the pod coffee machines in our rooms. Bathrooms are spacious and welll appointed. Staff are very friendly. It's on the edge of a small town and apparently very close to the woods - we did not explore. The town centre with ample restaurants and bars is a 15-20 minute walk away. There is private parking - across the road.

We had 2 double rooms, one much larger than the other. The large one had a long table with 4 (6?) chairs at it and generous coffee/tea making facilities. The smaller room had 1 comfy chair but no high table/side table/cupboard. So there was no space to comfortably sit with your coffee or do anything you might need to sit at a table for. Also, the corridors and lobbies are all painted in a very dark colour with fashionable but not bright lighting. It made my 85 year old aunt very uncomfortable and uncertain walking around in. We asked for and got a stand up lamp to place inside the entrance door to her room because she was coming in from a very dark corridor into a very dark entrance hall of her room.

Hotel was located at a walking distance of the city. Inside it looked nice with a kind of old-fashion charm/style. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lift was particularly slow but fits with the "spirit" of the hotel. The room was quite big with a comfortable bed, it had a thin window glass but the heating was good to warm up the room.

The room had a bath only in the middle of the room, so not very handy as the water was going everywhere when you tried to shower. The breakfast was limited and there was no room when we arrived even if give a time slot upfront. For some items you even had to pay extra.

Great room, larger than I expected. Also really kind receptionists. We were also able to wash clothes here, which was great for us traveling by.

Note that the bathroom have a glass wall and door with no blur. Not necessarily a bad thing, just to be aware of it.

Highly appreciated the warm and cosy atmosphere, highly supporting staff. Dinner and Breakfast excellent and remarkable.

Big clean rooms, friendly staff and beautiful huge garden. Close to the centrum, ideal voor some restfull days. Bed was soft ,I liked it.

No fridge in the room, at least I haven't see it. The shower/toilet door is from glass.

We had 2 rooms, this review is of the large one, which came with a large table with 4 chairs, had a good coffee maker, a large and comfortable bathroom. We liked the room very much. The hotel is a 15 minute walk away from restaurants, bars, shops.

The breakfast is great, the rooms look nice and offer enough space.

The beds were so soft it took away from the experience of being in a high-end hotel.

the room and especially the bathroom was very spacious. I especially enjoyed he toiletries (shower gel & lotion) which had a wonderful fragrance.

the shower kept overflowing onto the floors resulting in the need to have excess towels on the floors…(a waste).

we booked the family room and the second bedroom had an uncomfortable smell and in both rooms there were dead ladybugs on the windowsills - also the upholstery on the couch had many stains and had seen better days The other family room was booked so we were not able to switch rooms

Amazing property. Very nice and varied rooms, friendly staff and great restaurant. The trees in the park at the hotel on their own are worth a visit. Impressive old giants, facinating!

The building is old and has wooden floors, this is a little noisy. We didn’t have any issues with that but it is something to be aware of. A bit more explicit: the couple upstairs must have had a very exciting night😊
