Very affordable clean, spacious and comfortable hotel in "downtown" Kleve with a short walk to the castle. Immediate access to both restaurants and grocery store. Not sure what would bring someone to Kleve outside business or visiting close friends/relatives, but if you want to get away from the main cities and still have a very comfortable hotel that meets many US traveler expectations, this is the right choice!

WiFi keeps losing connection with phone and tablet. The connection will error out, but as soon as you reconnect to WiFi, it will work while active in your session.

The room was very clean and spacious. A tea and coffee maker was missing but the minibar was useful. People at the reception as well as in the kitchen were very kind. The breakfast was very good. The location is central and we will certainly go back to stay in the future.

The pillows were a bit uncomfortable, however, overall the sleep quality was good. There was nothing much to do for the kids and there was no English channels on the TV. We tried the Taj Indian restaurant nearby but the food as well as service was disappointing, however, there are plenty of options for lunch and dinner nearby and also at the hotel itself.

I had a REALLY terrible drive from England. I arrived in Kleve on Friday evening to find the studio apartment I had paid for, so awful I had to leave. I booked this hotel in my car and arrived 10 mins later. My booking had not registered on the system but I needn't have worried. Jeffery on reception was just wonderful, he took care of my luggage and gave me a wonderful welcome. Katrina (on the bar) was also super friendly, so helpful and accommodating after such a stressful journey. She was like a friend far away from home. Nothing was too much trouble. I travelled to Kleve to buy food that I cannot buy in England. I had only a small fridge in my room but the staff kept my cheese/ sausage etc in a sealed bag in their fridge until I checked-out the next morning. Of course the room was very good, as you would expect from a 4 star hotel but the staff make this a 5 star hotel. Exceptional service. Thank you once again Jeffery and Katrina, you are amazing!!

The room was large and airy. The location was absolutely perfect for us, and, I certainly intend returning there again.

We really didn't like the shower being within the bedroom. To make it worse, the glass on the shower was clear, which gave no privacy at all. It would have been a simple matter to have made the glass opaque with a different frosted glass or film. My daughter-in-law's German grandparents have also expressed their dislike of it as they've stayed in the same hotel, possibly the same room? I'm not sure if they're all like this.

Big and clean room with good bed, good restaurant with friendly staff.

If you have lucky you can find a free parking space across of hotel. The hotel has a garage but 15e for 1 day is not so good price.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were very flexible to fit our needs. The breakfast was good and with a big variety of interesting foods. The rooms are spacious, the beds very comfortable. We had a surprisingly good stay.

We only found one weakness - the fitness room needs investment - it had only three poor cardio machines.

Very expensive parking, and garage was poorly lit. Unreliable wifi. Kettle included in room, but I had to go to reception to get cups. The open bathroom wasn’t an issue for us, but it could be quite off-putting if you prefer some privacy.

Perfect location to start exploring Kleve, with the shopping area and nice restaurants around the corner. Also very good restaurant and great breakfast in the hotel. Spacious rooms and a convenient underground car park. Very friendly staff and good service!

Location of the hotel is very close to the Bus stop and Railway station, Breakfast is really nice

Wifi was slow during my stay

We booked a big spacious room and were given an extra bed with a comfortable mattress for our 6 you for free. There was also a complementary bottle of water waiting for us in the room and a few capsules of coffee. The location was perfect for visiting the Christmas fair in December, as the city center is just a short walk away.

Our room had a wide opening in the wall between the bathroom and the rest of the room. Not a big deal but when you travel with a family I'd rather have at least a window with curtains or something.
