Hotel Schwanenburg was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is ideal – on a quiet street just a short walk from the train station and town centre, with beautiful views of Schwanenburg Castle and good value for money. My room had a balcony with table and chairs outside and inside the room, excellent storage space and offered far more comfort and privacy than a soulless chain hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches. It had a value for money drinks fridge (as no bar but better prices and speed) and an in room hairdryer. What truly set this hotel apart was the warm and welcoming hospitality. The staff were friendly, professional and swift – offering local tips and making the whole stay feel personal and relaxed. Breakfast was fantastic and served from 6:30 perfect for business and non-business travellers. It was freshly prepared, with loads of choice, including the chance to easily get your 5-a-day fruit in – a real bonus when travelling for work. The WiFi and smart TV setup were also far better than many other places I’ve stayed at in Kleve. Parking also possible outside.

Nothing – it was faultless for my stay. Be aware only no checkin after 9pm.

The room was wonderful the bed was so soft and I loved the patio wished it hadn't rained and would have loved to sit out and watch the sun set. The location was perfect close to shopping and the castle. The breakfast was wonderful, and there was a great selection of different foods and drinks. It was very peaceful and had plenty of coffee. They had both hot and cold foods like scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit, yogurt, cereal, veggies, sliced meats and cheese, and lots of bread.

The toilets were kind of weird wouldn't always flush everything down.

Good location, just 5-10 minutes walk to the city centre. Parking in front of the hotel. Good breakfast, with a lot of fresh fruit, very nice. Room is basic but good. We had a room with a balcony with view on the Schwanenburg castle. Great restaurant just around the corner by the river.

Very soft pillows and the curtains do not darken the room properly, so it's quite early light in the room.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was good, although the step in and out of the shower was a bit challenging. The breakfast was superb, and despite some of the previous comments about the land lady, she was very helpful and sociable.

Not so keen on the doorway between the rooms 11 and 12. We were in room 12.

The hotel is ok. Clean. But the personal it's not very friendly. The mum was very nice,but daughter very unfriendly. The room good. Breakfast was very super. And the mum. She is the best :) 😍

It was a quite Christmas, perfect for leisure trip

It was on top level, the last stairs was so narrow, I find it dangerous especially for a pregnant woman

It was the best breakfast buffet that I have had in my last 6 weeks cycling around Germany, Belgium and Netherlands! It was very quiet neighborhood. Provided secure dry parking for our bicycles.

I would have liked a coffee maker/ coffee in the room.

Very friendly staff, large room, attention to requests was given immediately, close to city centre, quiet neighbourhood, free parking, superb breakfast.

A quiet place and we had a good rest. We also enjoyed breakfast because of lots of variety.

We are simple people and don't mind if there's any shortcomings.
