This place is awesome value for your money. I have stayed at this hostel multiple times, and have always found what I was looking for: clean facilities and a good night’s sleep. The gentleman who runs the place appears to be a native of the “Niederrhein” region of Germany - reserved on the outside, but really friendly and accommodating once you get to know each other. I have no doubt always felt welcome, no matter how late or unexpectedly I’d arrive in Goch. The internet worked just fine, as did all facilities throughout the place. Everything was spotlessly clean, both the shared facilities as well as the on-suite bathrooms. Sure I could have paid twice of three times the money to get a quaint little hotel room somewhere else, but for a good night’s sleep, a clean bathroom and working wifi, I’d happily return to Gästehaus zum Padre any time!

Nothing at all - I knew what I was signing up for then I booked a hostel room, and I’ve never been disappointed!

I paid €30 for a single room, and it is impossible to find that price anywhere else in the local area. I therefore expected a dive. No! I found a pleasant & spotlessly clean room with a free bottle of mineral water, and spotlessly clean showers & toilets in the corridor. The hotel is right next to the main square so everything you might need is a couple of minutes' walk away. Goch is not New York though so it was quiet in the evening and early morning. The train station and "out of town" supermarkets are a 10-minute walk away.

Nice, clean comfortable room at a very cheap price in the city. A sizeable parking lot is located 200 meters nearby; the host can be contacted easily; clean bathroom equipped with supplements; and at your day of leave you can leave at 12 o'clock.

The blanket or quilt/ comforter of the bed was a little bit too short for a long person such as me. At times, you can hear the TV in the room across the corridor. So, regarding possible noise, it depends on what kind of neighbors you might have.

Centrally located next to the market square, easy checking at the coffee shop next to the hostel, small but functional room with a washbasin and mirror, a small wardrobe, a single comfy bed and a table and chair. More than sufficient for a night sleep before an early flight. Communal areas like the toilet and showers were very clean.

The hostel is simple, but has all that you need for the overnight stay. It's also impeccably clean. Showers have all the necessary amenities. There's a Netto supermarket 5 minutes away. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate.

The hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and well-appointed, offering everything I needed for a relaxing visit. One of the standout features of this hotel was its convenient location. It was perfectly situated for travelers like me who needed easy access to transportation. The proximity to the bus stop was a major plus, as it allowed me to conveniently catch the bus to Weeze Airport. This made my journey to the airport stress-free and efficient, which is always appreciated when traveling.

Good value and the place is clean and looks recently built. Very good Italian restaurant opposite and a British themed bar around the corner. Was able to park my motorcycle opposite but there's a big car park in the nearby square which I think charges.

The grumpy guy who greeted me with the keys. Made me feel like a nuisance.

Great location - especially to take the taxi bus to the airport early morning (at Markt Goch station). All amenities in the vicinity. Very efficient and friendly communication.

Showers or shower room as unisex, should be lockable & suggestion: provide a kettle for all guests to use, to make a hot drink or soup

Not so comfortable to use bathroom and toilet, because this is for all costumers.Soundproofing zero.

The room was nice and clean, all the shared spaces like bathroom and toilets were also clean and provided with sanitary supplies. It was really quiet at night. And it is exactly at city center and it is very good price. We were very pleased with this experience.
