The visit was very good except for on the morning when leaving, I was told I needed to pay for breakfast on two days when the day before i had been told by reception it was in the package. The food, room, and facilities where excellent, All reception staff and restaurant staff were kind and polite, it was just the one young lad on receptions that gave me the wrong information that upset us.

We traveled with dogs and therefore payed extra or day, but our room wasn’t vacuumed during the 3 days The restaurant was ok but not great

it is very uniquely designed hotel. With well renovated anterior and very comfortable beds. despite its proximity to the regional road it is a silent place, when one can comfortably sleep with an open window.

the bathroom arrangement is not ideal at all: the way the toilet sit is arranged facing the shower wall is so tight that an adult man has to get settled on it side ways: otherwise he can hit his head:)

Common areas. The bar staying open until later than expected. Comfortable bed.

The property is quite dated. This was most noticeable in the bedroom and breakfast area. The common areas and bar were less obviously dated.

The design and style was very fun. Liked the food, especially breakfast. Very clean. Very good service.

I didn’t like the coffee maker. It was a pain and I didn’t know decaf from regular.

An excellent Hotel of High standard with exceptional Staff. Add lovely Traditional, Seasonal treats & it just gets better!

TBH there wasn’t anything to dislike!

Staff were friendly and polite. Due to unforeseen circumstances we booked very a stay last minute (30 mins before arrival), but the room we were given was great and we had no issues whatsoever.

Easy parking as they have their own parking place. The restaurant is typical van der Valk and the food quality is good. All facilities for having drinks or food are there. The hotel is on the outskirt of Drachten but I didn't mind walking to town after a long drive from Germany.

All was fine

Hotel room was very spacious, beds comfortable, the bathroom large and the shower was amazing. Wide selection of cereals, meats, cheeses and pastries for breakfast. Hotel was ideally situated for our needs, we were attending the European Dodgeball Championships at the sports centre but is a fairly long walk to restaurants there is an Aldi about 10 - 15 minutes walk for supplies.

Ate in the Hotel restaurant on our last night the food was good but the service although friendly was incredibly slow after waiting 15 minutes for someone to take our dessert order I had to go and find someone!

Very much enjoyed a 4 night stay as a Christmas break. Room was very spacious and well equipped. Bathroom offered bath in addition to shower - constant hot water and good towels. Enjoyed buffet breakfast and dinner from a La Carte menu - all good very well cooked food and served nicely. Staff throughout hotel always exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating!
