We prefer one of the water-view balcony rooms in the main building. If those are not available, we were very happy to get our other choice: the downstairs terrace room in the attached building, especially now that I have trouble walking. We (3 Bergman families-gezinnen) have been coming to Princenhof since about 1984. My mother was the first one of us who came for Skutjesilen from Florida and discovered the comfortable viewing of he Race at the Princenhof. The restaurant and bar with its spectacular view are excellent. We are especially delighted with local Friesian breads/koek for breakfast. The Desk Staff and the dining room staff were extremely helpful when we needed some assistance and information. Looking forward to the next stay....

Me. I wish I had not waited too long to make reservations for our 3-nights so that we could have stayed through Saturday night. I had no idea how busy September would still be! We'll be back!!

Amazing location and View, very good breakfast. Comfy beds and pillows. Good internet

I missed some nice juice in the breakfast. Restaurant was a bit overpriced. The rooms could get some more touch with toiletries as it was very basic.

The room was on the waterside, was beautiful. Big room, with a big bathroom. The place was so quiet. Had a lovely stay.

Restaurant was a bit expensive for what you get. And I missed good coffee. The coffee was a bit tasteless. Bathroom light was short on, and goes of everytime. And in the middle of the night it popped on out of nowhere.

Fantastic location,Earnewald is wonderful.The staff at the Princenhof are efficient,friendly and polite.

Limited options as regards restaurants,cafes etc. As regards the hotel the shower cubicle leaked resulting in the bathroom floor getting very wet.

Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and varied. Location next to water was peaceful and interesting.

It was difficult to find a parking space for most of our stay. Our toilet room was too small and did not have a washbasin.

Location - beautiful. Staff - helpful, friendly and professional.

The mosquitos! Not really a problem though - you can always put some repellant on!

The location is the best. The view, the restaurant on the lake , the food and breakfast veryyyy good. Easy parking, comfortable beds. Super overall.
