Perfection - we upgraded to a junior suite and the room was modern spacious stylish and met all of our needs. It was a delight to stay here. Restaurant felt super special too - not standard by any measure - first class. The bar and lounge areas were so stylish and a pleasure to use. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English which helped make our stay even easier.

Breakfast was super great and in general employees were quite professional especially in the main restaurant on the ground floor.

Again, those ladies at the front desk can be more professional and kind. But, it was not a big deal. Also, the master key to turn off the entire lights at once was not easy to find and was located at one corner only. If you have them at the both side of the bed, that would be better.

I like the fact that when you put the do not disturb sign up on the door, you come back to your room having a bag on the door handle with towels and toilet paper.

What bothered me slightly is having the toilet behind the wet room. After a shower I would have to take my socks off to go to the toilet, or get wet socks.

I love the VDV hotels, they are very well presented and give a five star feel for great value. Food is always good and the hotels always feel comfortable.

The only downside for some people would be the location, they are traditionally travel hotels on the side of busy junctions, they do not have attractions within walking distance. They are perfect for me.

The beds were comfy and the breakfast so good! Very and accommodation staff (the receptions and good housekeeping).

The hotel is at the start of Zaltbommel, meaning it is far from the nearest train station. A shuttle to the station would be ideal. Arranging a taxi or Uber can be a problem if you don't want to use your car to travel. It feels a bit isolated.

Comfortable beds, quiet room, air-conditioning, lift, free parking.

The lighting in the rooms...no individual switches for lights in different areas. Daughter's room had light in toilet that went on automatically; wakes others at night.. The room layouts: the 'junior suite' my daughter + children shared had no privacy screen for the bath area...you see the bath + its occupants when you open the main door !!

Everything....staff were friendly and welcoming. Location was fantastic. Presidential suite was amazing and value for money. We didn't dine in the restaurant and the food was a bit expensive and not to our taste but breakfast was fantastic and a wide selection and good value for money.

The bar staff were quite slow in bringing out the drinks and they git confused with the billing one time but overall good. Nice cocktails 🍸

The staff are very nice and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. I had to leave very early in the morning so I could only grab a quick breakfast but everything looked great. My croissant was perfect :) I also had dinner in the evening in the restaurant and the food was great too.

This is my second time staying in a Van der Valk hotel and both times exceeded expectations. This one did not look as beautiful on the outside (standard hotel block) but inside is just as nice as the first one I stayed in. Everything was excellent.

How the staff at the hotel asked why I had ordered a room for a day and asked why I needed a taxi at 5 pm the next day. What I would be doing from leaving the room at 11 am till 5 pm at the Hotel. Not very clever as I had a training that day scheduled. I felt not very welcome.

Good, friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurant and breakfast. Very nice rooms and good beds. Airco good have been a bit more powerful and some extra hangers for bath towls. Privacy of the bathroom could be challenging for certain visitors. In general one to return too.
