Very kind staff with serene environment

We need a switch that isolates the water heater in the bathroom. I didn’t feel so comfortable that the water heater in the Queen’s Suite couldn’t turn off when I wanted to shower

Breakfast choice was tasty but very limited as most of the items on menu was not available other than that it was ok. Great location, facilities & very helpful staff who helped resolve issues with bookings!

Food menue was very much limited as many items on the menu was not available so need more variety or menu should be revised. Our room location was abit noisey with animal sounds & smell coming from outside the shower area!

My wife and I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in Abuja for several weeks. We originally planned to spend a couple of weeks here and then spend the last week in Hilton, but we ended up spending our whole duration in Wali’s Suites. This is a testament to how good the hotel was. It offers a more chilled and quiet environment compared to the busy atmosphere at the Hilton. It’s been over 17 years since my wife visited Nigeria so finding the right hotel was important and I’m glad we came here. PRICES – The room prices are very affordable and reasonable in today’s market. STAFF – The staff were brilliant and informative throughout our stay. Special shout out to Ife, Juliet & Jesright at the front desk for their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate us. The staff up in terrace restaurant were friendly and professional. Staff always served you with a smile. DÉCOR & ATMOSPHERE – The atmosphere was chilled and very homely which can be a far cry to the bigger and busier hotels. The hotel décor was very modern and classy. FOOD – The food was delicious and generous in quantity. Every Wednesday was their breakfast buffets. If you book online on websites like Booking.com it is normally breakfast for two but if you book at the hotel where the rates are cheaper it is normally breakfast for one. ROOM – The Deluxe Suite we stayed in was clean and spacious. Had a good balcony view. SECURITY – There is a 24-hour armed security which is always reassuring to know your safety is cared for. LOCATION – The hotel is quite central and is easy to get around to other attractions, restaurants etc. CLEANINESS – The hotel is very clean and well cared for. GYM – Is still a work in progress. WIFI – The Wi-Fi could be better, but I think it’s more of a national issue. Our overall experience is a 10/10 and we will happily return to Wali’s Suites when next we are in Abuja.

The staff were excellent

They only take cash in local currency. On the Booking.com site it is stated, Payment by Visa on arrival. This is not true. You have to pay by 'Cash On Arrival'. This then as a result of having to to pay with the cash we had then were left short of local currency and chasing our tails for the whole visit, when the banks only issue small amounts of currency per day. They only take visa on a local visa in local currency. To be noted but not an issue was.. this is a Muslim run hotel and therefore does not sell alcohol, or allow consumption of alcohol in the public spaces but you can drink your own in your own room.

Wali's Suites was professional, comfortable, clean and properly managed like a proper hotel. You had exquisite sheets, beddings, all the modern conveniences you'd expect from any international hotel chain. Their studio room was spacious, comfortable everything was working well and the staff were polite and professional. I'll try and book them for any of my other stays in Abuja. It was a really nice place to stay with the regular international standards of any traveler. No drama, just good accommodation.

The main thing was the charge online was slightly higher when I paid because of the increased exchange rate used at the hotel to hedge for the fluctuation in Naira to USD, it meant about a N37,000 increase, not fatal but it removed the price competitiveness they had when I was comparing other places. There was a little moisture damage in the bathroom, naturally from the steam and a little wear and tear on the ironing board I was given. The breakfast was ok, some would rate it a 7/10 but I would've preferred more options for a healthy breakfast, a nice fruit salad, yoghurt, avocados, the likes. But it was a breakfast most around would enjoy. These though were minor. Wali's is clean, pristine and comfortable.

The place was in a nice, quiet spot. The room was comfy and super clean. Room service was fast, and the food was really tasty. But honestly, the staff made it all happen. They made my stay feel special—like a home away from home. I’ll definitely be recommending this hotel to my friends and family.

There's a rooftop with seating space, food and a fantastic view. I feel this space is underutilised and could be used for some fun stuff for guests. Think karaoke nights, football watch parties, and things like that.

Very clean, simple but brilliant aesthetics and very welcoming n soothing. Not overwhelming nothing too much. Reminds me of the Abuja Nordic - the Scandinavian feel, they did really well. Brilliant use of space. For me, it’s an 8 out of 10 simply because I can’t give a 10 as a general rule. So yh! Well done, I’ll be back

Nothing really, nothing to dislike if I’ll be candid. Just to satisfy this question I can say perhaps the pool was small but cozy would probably be the best antidote for this. Personally, I’d think it ought to be a warm jacuzzi of sorts, it’s too small to be called a swimming pool, turn it into a heated pool n it’s going to brilliant for its size n location on the side

The decoration in the hotel was fantastic, from when I walked into the building and the decor in the room I really was impressed with. The staff in reception was amazing people and really showed some top class hospitality for us guests. The room was an excellent size and it was well maintained of which made my stay very comfortable indeed. The bed was very large and comfortable as well. In regards to food, well breakfast was really nice and tasty of which it was freshly made every morning. I ordered room service for dinner on a few occasions and this was awesome. When I next visit Abuja I will stay at this hotel without doubt because I enjoyed every moment of my stay at Walis

My stay was excellent overall, so if pressed to give some negatives I would say that the internet worked very well when it was available, but there were many times that the internet was not available for long periods of time. In addition, it may be worth updating some of the equipment in the Fitness Center.

The staff was lovely when I arrived for a very late check-in. The room was clean and well appointed, it looked just like the picture! Additionally, the breakfast was good and the other food was excellent as well, I had a chicken curry that was lovely. The kitchen staff even accommodated me warming food late at night. I also really liked the rooftop breakfast bar/restaurant.

My only issue, is that the detachable showerhead in my room was busted, so I had to use the overhead rain shower, which I don’t like. They said they would, but they never sent anyone to fix it, or switch me to a different room.

centrally located in a good and secure neighbourhood. Good facilities. Great rooftop terrace with breakfast room -->nice views over the area. Beautiful and relaxing pool area (clean water). Interiors are spotless clean and very nice. Very friendly and competent staff. A great place to be!

when booking a double room, complimentary breakfast applies only to the 1st guest: the 2nd guest has to pay extra. However, as this is widespread practice in Nigeria, it does correspond to the local standard, although for visitors coming from abroad this might come as a bit surprising.
