We stayed at the hotel for a few days and were very pleased. The location is perfect — quiet, surrounded by forest and beautiful nature. Special thanks to the staff! Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and ready to help in any situation. You can really feel that they care about their guests. The room was clean and cozy, with everything we needed. We enjoyed both breakfast and especially dinner — everything was tasty and made with care. A great place for a peaceful getaway. We will definitely come back!

The Hotel Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge is very unusual and beautifully situated. Nature all around, absolute silence. Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms.. Very tasty evening menu, high-quality breakfast, home-made bread, the best jam. Very attentive staff 💙

For all dog owners: "Dogs allowed" does not mean "dogs welcome" There is an additional charge of 500 NOK! (approx. 44 euros!) The dog is not allowed in the hotel reception area or in the catering area (if you want to drink a glass of wine in the evening). He is also not allowed up the inside "normal" hotel stairs. I had to walk around the whole hotel with him and up the lattice fire spiral outside stairs. If we had known all this beforehand, we would have booked somewhere else. In my opinion, it would be more honest if Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge simply did not allow dogs from the start, because then dog owners would know that dogs are absolutely not welcome here. (Although the staff was very friendly to the dog sitting outside the door...but what good is that to the dog and me....?!)

Their professionalism combined with their genuine care for guests truly made us feel at home. Overall, our stay at Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge was nothing short of phenomenal. The only thing that could be improved is the bed (in the cabin). The double bed consists of two small beds. In the morning you wake up with a gap in the middle. However, this is not really a big problem

The hotel is in a peaceful location. It seems quite new, and the interiors were stylish and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped, clean and quiet. The breakfast was tasty. A cute small lamb hotel in the backyard was a nice bonus 😀

Small odour in bathroom, perhaps due to room not being accomodated for a while. Still I am very satisfied with visiting here and looking forward to come again.

We got an upgrade to a cottage with a kitchen and it was very beautiful. It was clean and comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights and the food was good although quite expensive. It is a cosy hotel and we really loved our stay overall. There is a Mexican lady at the restaurant and she is very warm and kind. She went above and beyond to make sure we are eating well at breakfast. There is also a Philippino gentleman who is very helpful. The other staff were also courteous and friendly.

We just had one issue with a reindeer sleigh activity that we booked through the hotel. There was some sort of miscommunication between the reindeer company and the hotel, and we ended up with a bad experience and paying more than the cost if the service given to us. The hotel promised us a refund of the extra amount we paid, but took a very long time to deposit this into our account. It wasn’t until we complained to booking.com that they refunded us.

Great location with beautiful surroundings. Must recommend the Arctic Romance Package. Stunning breakfast with finely selected offering. I travel a lot and have started rating the places I stay by the quality of the breakfast bacon. I have to admit that this place is the new "king of the hill" on Matti's bacon index. Absolute 6/5 👌

The awesome friendly staff, (mother and daughter, if i understood correctly?). Unique location, and the food was all local and some even home grown in the garden or greenhouse

Unfortunately there was some technical problem with the sauna. But the rest of the wellness lounge definitely was still worth it. Really nice jacuzzi

All the staff spoke great English, made us feel welcome and relaxed. It's a peaceful, family run atmosphere which has been decorated beautifully throughout. The food at dinner was delicious- all three courses, and breakfast choices were very good too. Water pressure in the shower was great! Really nice small touches like the quality of the shampoo and showergel and that there was both hand wash and cream in the bathroom, gave it a more luxury spa feel. Plus having usb sockets built into the headboards made charging devices easy and not on the floor for once!! Overall though it's the staff that made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Room was quite hot but then we've stayed on the hottest day of the year. Small space for hanging things.

Stayed one night in room with window seat. Good sized room very nicely appointed - encouraged to use slippers inside on arrival which adds to cosy nature of property. Service was excellent, as was breakfast and dinner. Complimentary tea/coffee available all day. Good spot for hiking and northern lights (if weather permits). Must be fantastic in winter.

It felt like an elite hotel in the Alps. Everything was top quality - food, room, surroundings. Dinner was a piece of art. Comfy slippers helped to enforce the cosy vibes. Plenty of general areas (lounge etc) for pleasant chilling and wonderful views from outside. I visited during the summer and seriously consider coming back during winter.
