The challets are fantastic. So cozy and comfortable, and the view on the woods thru those big windows... it's like you sleeping in the nature but in a most comfortable bed. Dogs are nice and the people very open and friendly! I had a very late check-in and they were kind enough to let instructions for me on how to get to my challet, breakfast hours and so on! Definitely a place to visit!

The place is amazing. It is an husky dogs breeding surrounded with several facilities for the guests. We were received by a super courteous host who showed us around the facility and took us to our rooms (the wood tepees), both rooms were clean, cozy and had a small electric stove running for the night (pillows among the best we found in our trip in Norway). yes, dogs were howling a couple of times during the night, but we slept happily anyway (maybe, as we did, bring with you some travel goggles to cover from light during the night). Breakfast is good, in terms of variety and quality of food, not gigantic but definitely appropriate and satisfactory The host gave us the access to the external fireplace, provided us with wood ecc. so we also enjoyed a couple of hours watching the nature around us. We also had dinner, one of the best quality/price ratio we found in the travel. one mega dish of reindeer, potatoes and veggies. Naturally we had access, together with one person of the staff, to the dogs area ... no words to describe the nice attitude of the animals, the love for cuddles and all the rest, lots of puppies too. Finally, bathroom & showers are shared for the guests but extremely clean and spacious.

For my second night at Holmen Husky Lodge, a little longer comment! The welcome is of quality and the facilities are just as high. The atmosphere is peaceful especially by a beautiful summer evening when the sun never sets! The staff is very welcoming and does not hesitate to exchange with the guests and show their passion. The rooms are very charming, comfortable and unique! The must, be surrounded by these beautiful huskies! The walk with the dogs is to be done in summer, a beautiful experience. The breakfast is hearty and delicious, as are the evening meals that were offered. In short, an exceptional place! To do in winter next time!

What can I say I effin loved this place. The lavvo was the perfect type of accomodation. Never slept in a uniqe place like this before. It is truly a different type of experience and IMO thousand times more worth than a stay in a 7 star world class hotel. The place is a heaven for dog lovers. And the howling at night when the pack is communicating with others signaling their territory was a fantastic and powerful addon to the experience. The visit of the dog yard was also a great experience. I could spent hours there because there are so many of them that need to be patted. The staff is very knowledable about the dogs and they take great care of the animals.

It is absolutely impossible to not like this place, of course unless you are a cat person then you should probably stay in a boring hotel in town.

There are many public spaces to share, the staff is friendly and the experience is unique ! Husky is super cute and we had a tour to say hi to them, that was really lovely! We used the sauna and the lounge space, really comfortable and enjoyable!

It is not their problem but we did thought sauna and jacuzzi is included but actually it cost additionally. But in the end there are much less people sharing the facilities so that was really nice! And I also thought the accommodation would have a private bathroom, in the end everything works nicely.

Holmen Husky was the highlight of our month long trip. From sleeping in lavu to the food to the wonderful dogs that wait for you to walk past and rub their tummies. The staff are exceptional with a special shout out to Tess who fit us in for the amazing husky sledding and Wico for his amazing food. I cannot recommend this place enough. We even watched the Aurora from our bed! A great place for kids too....

We had an all around fantastic stay. Staff was really nice and proactive to make you feel at home. The included breakfast and the meals we ordered were delicious. Certainly a fantastic experience if you're looking for something other than the usual hotel room. And as luck has had it the weather allowed us to see a beautiful aurora right there and then.

A unique experience in a peaceful and magical place. We had the chance to do 5 hours of dogsleding along the Alta river, an incredible experience in the middle of beautiful nature and in the company of the adorable dogs who are definitely the heart of this place. The Holmen staff is very welcoming and our guide, Tess, was amazing. A little bit of paradise!

Duplex-suite was amazing! Nicely decorated and very comfortable. Staff was very nice and husky puppies were a definite plus.

Breakfast was quite simple, but tasty. There are no other services, but surely some shops etc. quite close by car.

Great experience. The personal was very nice. Dinner was amazing and a very good red wine. The sauna is just for relaxing perfect. You are allowed to cuddle the huskys. Also the husky walk in the summer you should do. We got a lot of information about huskys and North Norway, fishing, culture, etc. The coffee prepared on fire and a pine stick tasted fantastic.
