Great location, just opposite bus station. Just cross the street. For shopping, you go through the pizza restaurant which leads you to shopping mall without going outside. Floor heating. To have a view is always nice. Reception was really helpful and informative. Supervisor during breakfast was really kind and helpful. Fantastic breakfast. Central location to visit surroundings.

The long corridor made me think of an hospital but that is personal. It is efficiënt though. Apart from the breakfast supervisor I have not seen a single smile.

We stayed here on two different occasions and both times our rooms had fabulous panoramic views (some rooms include spectacular views of the Northern Lights Cathedral, and electric shutters on the opening window). Very comfortable well-designed room with luggage space for two bags, two comfy chairs for relaxing, and charging plugs next to the bed. The bathroom had space for two toiletry bags on the bench as well. Small things like providing 12 coathangers (instead of the usual 4), tissues in the bathroom, and an umbrella were really appreciated. There were more English-speaking TV shows on TV than most other hotels we have stayed in, and the TV Guide actually worked (thank you). Breakfast had a full range of hot and cold options, including healthy extras like shot glasses with juices such as beetroot. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel doesn't have car parking, but not needed as there are so many car parks nearby. We parked in P7, an outdoor carpark on Lokkeveien, behind the hotel, and it seemed reasonably priced compared to other car parks we used in Norway. There was a charger for an electric car too. Another bonus is that the hotel is attached to a shopping mall.

Liked everything about this hotel. One minor improvement could be to label the juices at breakfast.

Everything about this hotel deserves praise, especially the fantastic breakfasts. The rooms are very spacious, equipped with a small kitchen including an electric hob and even an ironing board. Right next to the hotel there is a covered, spacious parking lot, as well as shopping galleries. The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the Northern Lights Cathedral. It was also important to us that this hotel has pet-friendly rooms.

The hotel staff were friendly and professional, so I had a good impression of Alta, which was my first visit. Thon Hotels is a chain of hotels that generally meets all the requirements of an excellent hotel, including cleanliness and location. I signed up for a Thon Hotels membership and stayed at several other Thon hotels in Norway because I was so pleased with my experience at this hotel in Alta.

The hotel does not have on-site parking, but that’s not a big deal. I used a public parking lot nearby.

The hotel is in the Center of Alta with the main bus stop across the street with easy connections to both city and intercity buses and there is shopping and eating places very close. The room was large, the staff very helpful and friendly, a good breakfast with many options, the Wi-Fi good, and the room clean. We enjoyed the stay and would stay here again. Had a great stay.

Nice size room. Light and spacious hotel right in the middle of Alta centre and in the same building as the shopping centre. Nice breakfast.

Shower had some lame scales and bed could have been a bit softer in my taste. Also the cleaning probably missed that the curtains in the room had some stains.

Well located hotel in Alta with great views of the Northern Lights church. The breakfasts were excellent! Also well sized, clean rooms. Perfect for a family stay.

The front desk people were very nice and friendly but they couldn't offer much advice on local topics. Also the parking was overpriced.

Our stay at the hotel was very nice and we absolutely recommend it. Our room was huge and we had a phenomenal view. The staff was more than friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Shopping centre, restaurants and a parking spot are nearby. Kind advice: English descriptions of the breakfast would be helpful. The window in our room was pretty dirty.

Wonderful hotel. We even had a view of the northern lights cathedral from our room. Room was huge and the bed was ine if the mist comfortable I have stayed in. Loved the wall paper with the birds. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. Very helpful staff.
