1. One of the more famous hotels in Kristiansund. Everyone knows where Scandic is. 2. Great location, overlooking the bay. Great to see the boats and the cruise ships sailing by. 3. Wide spread of breakfast options. Lovely restaurant area. 4. Very warm and welcoming staff. Always ready to help, even if it's the middle of the night. We got local recommendations and travel recommendations to nearby spots like the Atlantic Ocean Road. 5. Good cleaning of room. 6. All amenities provided, nespresso machine, tea, kettle.

1. Gym could be better equipped. It's small with sparse equipment. No treadmill, so couldn't get my run in. Everything else was wonderful. We would love to make a trip back again. We had a very good time at Scandic and at Kristiansund. Thank you, guys!

The hotel was very nice, easy to find, and the prices were reasonable. The parking lot is conveniently located right under the hotel, and the rooms were large and comfortable. I had read about the local breakfasts being great, but since we had had a lot of great breakfasts in Norway, we were skeptical. But we were convinced :D the most lavish breakfast of the whole trip: Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway.

A bit louder neighbors and the curtains couldn't be tightened much at the sides, so they let in a lot of light.

I loved my stay here and especially the breakfast. It is worth coming just for the breakfast. It has everything and it’s warm and fresh. The hotel has a work area, a small gym and is located in town making it easy to get around. The staff were very friendly and always able to help. By far the best place to stay in Kristiansund!

My only recommendation would be to get better beds. I found the mattress a bit too soft for my liking.

Everything, we arrived 00:15 (keeping in touch with the hotel with our arrival time) the member of staff who welcomed us was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Perfect start to the holiday. Very informative and we couldn't ask for more. He was the best (didn't catch his name, but he be superb at his job. Breakfast is outstanding, the best we had in norway. So many different tasty options catering for all diets and preferences. We ate till stuffed and that was the perfect start to our day with a long drive ahead of us. Wish we booked for more than 1 night, 100% book this hotel. The stars should be higher, wow.

In addition to being clean and comfortable and in a great position with views to the next island (at least from our room), staff were terrific. They gave great local advice, offered to make a booking at a restaurant for us, and even called our next host to sort out our check-in problems. The breakfast buffet was not only fantastic, but a sign encourage guests to pack themselves a healthy lunch. I was overwhelmed.

We had a superior twin room with view onto the harbour. Very peaceful and quiet. The staff was really nice and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was phenomenal. Seldom have I seen such a variety of choice (even for allergicans). I was literally blown away. The lobby and communal area is modern, comfortable and even equipped with working spaces. The room offers free coffee and tea facilities.

twin beds are narrow with soft mattresses; parking is just around the corner but difficult to unload the suitcases if you want to avoid climbing stairs with luggage. (you are actually not allowed to stop on the street and there is a police station next to it)

Great room, and lovely view over the water. Friendly staff. Would definitely return.

2 minor criticisms - firstly the hotel and room was really hot. We were able to open the window in our room to help this a tiny bit but even the hallways and reception area were like an oven. Secondly the breakfast, whilst plentiful, was cold despite being kept on hot plates.

A good scandic hotel with all you would expect from Scandic: clean and comfortable rooms, some with a very nice view to the harbour, a nice breakfast.

The only problem we had was parking: there were some places reserved for parking of Scandic customers in the parking house very close to the hotel, but the staff seemed not to count the number of parking permissions they sell, so we were unable to find a place to park our car correctly. I had to spend some extra hour waiting until somebody frees a parking spot.

The German man at the reception was VERY pleasant. Very communicative which I appreciated a lot as a guest. He was there when I had questions (evening/night shift), and very social. I felt very welcomed at the hotel because of him.

Great view over the harbour to see the coming and goings of the ships and also close to the centre of town for restaurants. The bedrooms were also made up every day. something which wasn't on offer at other hotels

The car park was accessed by steep metal steps, although I drove round to reception to drop off and collect our luggage. parking was pricey too. There was no restaurant for evening meals also.
