Location and its close to ocean park which our daughter likes to visit

All staff are waiting to be tipped. Also, it’s like a discrimination for guests when the hotel staffs observe that guests are ordering from grab food and taking it back to the hotel. You can really see the eyes from the staff that they are discriminating the guests. To be honest, my wife and I we are born in the Philippines. We are now citizens of Australia and we haven’t been for a holiday in the Philippines for almost 5 years. We missed eating jollibee and other Filipino food that we love.

Front desk people were so nice.

Breakfast! Its either too salty or to bland. Fruits were not sweet, no banana in fruit area. Bfast with no banana is no bfast!. Staff were lazy. My 2nd bfast i came in at 8:45. Almost no more food at buffet i ask lazy wait staff they both said no more replenish and i shld have gone 6:30am. Fckng bs!!! How cheap for a "5star" hotel bfast. I suggest change everyone at the buffet bfast staff including chefs and wait staff.

Hotel is beautiful, breakfast is exceptional - it caters for every taste, I have even seen keto deserts. Comfy beds, nice personnel. The mall next to the hotel is only partially open, but SM Seaside is 5 min by taxi.

I have sent couple of messages via booking.com app asking for an airport transfer (they offered info about transfers after booking). I have sent first ine 4 days before arriving, another one on arrival day. They never answered, which is very unprofessional.

Fridge empty, no snacks available (we stayed in a similar resort for less price in Manila and provided us with fully stocked bar fridge with different drinks and snacks included in the price we paid) Had to request for teaspoon for our coffee (still we were only given one by housekeeping), appeared like the coffee making area wasn't checked and not refilled after the last guest. Had to ask for supposed free bottled water Asked housekeeping for hand towel but probably forgotten about it Big lobby, not enough seats Expensive food/dining

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Nu Star FILI Hotel in Cebu, and I must say, it's an outstanding venue in every aspect but one. The room was incredible, with modern amenities and stunning views. The pools and fitness center were impressive, providing a relaxing oasis for guests. The buffet breakfast was beyond exceptional, offering a diverse spread of local and international cuisine. However, my enthusiasm was dampened by a glaring oversight - the smoking section. As a cigar smoker, we are considered a different breed from cigarette smokers who need a quick fix from their nicotine. Cigar smokers like to enjoy a cigar for an extended period of time. I was appalled to find that the designated smoking area was relegated to the ground floor outside, in the front of the hotel, 50 meters away, with no seating or shelter. It's as if smokers are treated as second-class citizens, forced to stand awkwardly outside, exposed to the elements. This thoughtless design decision is disconcerting and uncomfortable. It's unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber to neglect the needs of its smoking patrons. A designated smoking area with seating and shelter is not only a courtesy but a basic amenity. Highlights: - Luxurious rooms with modern amenities - Impressive pools and fitness center - Exceptional buffet breakfast - Attentive staff Lowlights: - Inadequate smoking area (no seating, shelter, or amenities) - Smokers treated as second-class citizens Verdict: The FILI Hotel's outstanding facilities and services are marred by its lack of consideration for smoking patrons. Until they address this issue, I hesitate to give a perfect score. Recommendation: To FILI Hotel management: Provide a comfortable, designated smoking area with seating and shelter. It's a basic courtesy to your patrons.

Horrible smoking accommodations for those patrons that enjoy a nice cigar..

Everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were very courteous especially Nathaniel at the front desk. He made us feel comfortable while waiting for our room during check in and Jay also who arranged our taxi. Our room was spacious and clean with a very nice seaview. The beds were comfortable. The food was superb, there were lots of choices. The location was also great because it is adjacent to a mall with high-end brands and it was very close also to seaside sm. Over all experience was super a Would definitely recommend to all my friends.

We loved the comfort of the bed & size of the room & the people working at the property. The lounge access was a huge plus for us we loved seeing Leona (great name by the way ) 😉smiling face in the morning & being served my yet another amazing human (Brian) not to mention all the other people working there. They all made our trip one we will never forget & we cannot wait to return

The noise from construction. After saying that, we would have stayed longer with it so it wasn’t a huge problem for us.

During this trip I stayed at quite a range of top hotels, including: - Shangri La - Dusit Thani - The Reef - Costabella Beach Club - The Marriott - Marco Polo - Raddison - SEDA - JPark - Waterfront Cebu City - Maribago In terms of the overall experience, none are better than Fili. The rooms are stunning (although they need proper TV access), the pools are small but lovely, the place is spotless and the staff are amazing. Ofcourse there is also a Casion which makes it fun, and many restaurants. And it is that last part that sets it apart completely. The food is excellent. Good restaurants serving highest quality food (which is essentially impossible to find in Cebu), and nothing short of incredible buffets. It’s a 10/10 overall experience for Fili

There is not much to not like. A few typical things that you seem to find everywhere in the Philippines. For example, the cafe in the lobby has a menu... 60% of the menu is not available, so what is the point. It seems everywhere in PH has long menus but everything you ask for they dont have and even a brand new 5 star hotel like FIli seems to not be immune from this. The car parking system is a bit annoying too. You have to leave your car with a valet, they charge you P150 everytime you come in or out, even if your just going to the shop for 5 minutes, and sometimes you can be waiting 20 minutes for your car, as usually there is 1 valet running back and forward getting cars.

Earl made our stay extra special. We were celebrating my husband and my mother's birthday and Earl was kind enough to organize a suprise birthday cakes for my family. We were also able to check in earlier than scheduled and everything was very efficient. The breakfast buffet was a gastronomic experience, vast array of choices with manageable portions for you to taste everything. Their pastry section is worth every calorie. Thank you Nu Star staff for making our stay so relaxing and memorable. We will be back again for sure!

The room is probably the best part! Very clean! We were able to use the bathtub which is a rare occurrence given how dirty usually the rooms are at hotels or even some other 5 star hotels. The food amenities are also amazing! Lastly, the gym is great! First time i have seen a hotel gym with an actual squat rack and bench press.

It is a little bit pricey for some amenities like the spa and massage that we availed. Also the area is not public transportation heavy so it is a little rough getting picked up for Grab or taxi.
