The room was clean. It was very tidy and when we clarified that we had opted for a twin bed or 2 separate beds, they quickly assisted us on our request. The shower had a hot and cold option and it exceeded our expectation in terms of the room design and cleanliness. There was also a complimentary toiletries and water which was an added bonus. Checking in was also easy. It only took a few moments and the front desk was also open 24/7 so it was really helpful.

There were only a few things that we did not like. Once of which is that the toilet did not flush. Another was that the aircon had to be adjusted in a certain way just to make sure that the air was cold.

The location was great for the pier access. But not much around here so you'll be taxi or grab around the city to get to restaurants cafes. The fort around the square is cool though but only need 1 hour. Appreciate the bathroom availability and sinks. There was 24/7 reception which was nice when I checked out at 3am.

The showers didn't have anywhere to place your stuff except for 2 hooks so you couldn't really shower without getting your clean clothes wet. Towel rental is cheap but should just be included.

The front desk staff is grumpy, should smile and be warm as well. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, the unwelcoming demeanor at check-in set a less-than-pleasant tone for the rest of the visit. While the facilities themselves were clean and well-maintained, and the room met expectations, the overall experience could have been much better with friendlier customer service. A warm greeting goes a long way in making guests feel comfortable and valued.

The property has an excellent location when you want to visit tourist and heritage sites such as: Magellan’s Cross (3 blocks away), Basilica Minore de Sto. Niño de Cebu (3 blocks away), Plaza Independencia ;2 blocks away) Fastfood Chains (Chowking, Joklibee, Mcdo just 3 blocks away), Banks, National Museum of the Philipines, and it is just a few minute ride from Rohinsons Galleria and SM City Cebu. Moreover, the facilty offers a restaurant and an ATM once you enter the property. It id very convenient for guests. The food is great too with big servings! It’s just a bit pricey. As per the rooms, the dormitory room is airconditioned which is good. The bunk beds hve curtains for your privacy. I had a restful sleep for 3 nights. The staff are also nice and respondent to my querries.

The neighboring houses and buildings look a bit sketchy— dark street with busy people and vendors, and some “tambays” outside the property. A bit noisy too. Also, the common bathroom is a bit dark, a little unsanitary, and the flush sometimes do not work.

1) It's surprisingly fancy and quite, all from guests to the stuff were maintaining quietness. At was also quite outside on the street. But still don't forget to always keep earplugs with you just in case of bad guests 2) It is clean, the stuff from the second floor is really doing it's job great. But it's a pity that some guests do not appreciate it while using the toilet 3) I quite did not get it if that was a blanket or a towel provided on the bed, I used it as blanket since already had a small towel

1) It might be a little bit cold to sleep because a/c is kinda works weird, at 27-28 degrees it should be ok 2) There are water heaters but they make water kinda warm-ish, not hot. At least I did not manage to get a proper hot shower 3) A little bit tricky with drying clothes 4) Toilet seats (those plastic things) are in need to be fixed, they are still functional, but kinda tricky

The staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the 4 bed, rooms, as opposed to 6, 8 or 10 in other hostels. The location is great for catching ferries. Only a 10 minute walk to Pier 1. I like the individual shower stalls from the toilets. Nothing worse than a wet toilet. And appreciate that there isn't one bathroom for each room. Feels like you're waiting less or not at all when you want to shower or need to use the restroom. I arrived at 10pm and had to check out at 9am but I got the sense that there was a nice vibe here for travelers with many common areas including bar, cafe and food. Initial impressions are good despite short stay.

The rooms are small so if you're on the top bunk, there's not a lot of room for your bag. If any. Towels should be included in the price. Having to pay to rent one is tedious, but not the end of the world. The shower stalls have 2 hooks for your clean clothes that are not far enough away from the water so you will have wet clothes at the end of youre not super careful. There are no shelves for your toiletries so it ends up on the floor. Feels unhygienic.

During my stay at Happiness Hostel in El Nido, I was impressed by several aspects: Best Location: The hostel is conveniently located and easy to find with its distinctive green board on the street. Spacious Beds with Storage: The beds were roomy, and the storage boxes within them were a convenient touch. Complimentary Breakfast: Guests can enjoy a simple but satisfying breakfast consisting of banana, bread, and jam for free. 24/7 Beverage Options: Coffee, cold drinks, and hot water are available round the clock. Whatever you want to do here they got the solution, and best rates. So no need to runaround to find best deals, just ask them them and get it done.

WiFi Limitations: Unfortunately, there's no internet access in rooms or common areas, and there's uncertainty about when this issue will be resolved. This might pose an inconvenience to guests who rely on connectivity

We stayed at the hostel for just a few hours, arriving at 8 PM and needing to catch a boat at 5 AM. The check-in process was quick, and the staff were hospitable. It's conveniently located near a store and the pier, which was a big plus.

The only downside was that one guest's alarm went off for over an hour without being turned off, which disrupted our rest. Otherwise, it was a convenient and pleasant short stay.

I requested for blanket yet the staff didnt able to deliver my request.

They have a mezzanine where I did my last minute report (until 2am before going on vacation. Even though it was already midnight, co-work station is open and a staff and security (although not in uniform) will keep you company to attend to your needs. Service water, ceiling fan and a lot of charging ports are also at hand where i got all my gadgets fully-charged for the early trip the next day. An ATM machine is also available on-site. I also got unlimited hot water for the evening chamomile tea from their on-site cafe, Nyor. Some tourist came past midnight and were accommodated well and fast. And what caught my eyes is their natural concrete walls going to our room, painted with icons: lechon, puso, sinulog, whaleshark, all representing Cebu.

There's a stinky smell in the toilet, probably from the drainage, which could be the reason why they got charcoal on the side - to deodorize. Good thing I got my handy POOF from Bench and they got an exhaust that the smell went off in a sec.
