One of the best hotel this price in Cebu. All facilities and breakfast is 4 star level. Well trained staff are a good asset for this establishment. Especially front office staffs Charmaine. Franices, Myjane and Jcssa. Very kind and helpful security young man Zamora, bellman Eldion and always smiling face with work house kipper Altnca are in my memories. One rainy night I miss my iPhone in taxi, in front of hotel entrance . I always remember Mr. Franices that night many time behalf’s of me calls and messages are sends deferent my contacts. 2nd day safely returned lost iPhone in my hands.

The price of the food in the restaurant and Room Service was excellent. The food was very good. The staff are EXCELLENT- so friendly and helpful. There is a Laundry shop 2 doors away, and a 7-11 next door to that. Very convenient. Cebu South Bus Terminal is only a 10 mins walk away. The mattress was excellent quality and comfortable

No natural sunlight in our room. The window faced the adjacent tall building so we couldn't get any natural light.

Nice, clean, budget hotel, with basic amenities, in the center of Cebu city,. The staff is very helpful and courteous. They serve breakfast buffet every morning with a variety of food and breakfast options. Next to the hotel is a night market, with vendors selling BBQ food, juices, clothing and shoes. Along the street, there are bunch of suitcases repair and shoes repair small vendors and lots of other small roadside restaurants. Down the street about 10mins walk, there is Metro Mall and other shops and restaurants. About 20min walk to Fuente Osmeña Circle, and Mango st.

Room had no window. Didn’t bother me.

Good central location, and it was quiet. I also liked the simple buffet breakfast, which started early at 6:30. Staff at the reception was very helpful.

There is no hot water in the whole hotel. This is not a temporary problem, but permanent. For me it was ok, as the water was still warm enough even to wash my hair. Cigarette smoke from outside came into the room one morning, even though smoking is strictly forbidden.

Location close to Colon Street and 7/11. Has lifts and attentive security staff which made you feel safe and looked after. The hotel reception and other staff were also very kind and attentive. Good quality rooms compared to other hotels on the same street.

The bar was very quiet and the welcome drink is just a small cup of juice but still free I guess. The blankets were just thin bed sheet so it was extremely cold because you needed the AC on otherwise it’ll be too hot.

The hotel room and facilities are as described in booking.com and the breakfast buffet has both asian and western options. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious for two people

The bathroom needs a bit of care, as the door had some damage due to the use, but nothing that a paint can't fix. Also, the area and the immediate surroundings do not have the best looks, with many homeless around and a bit industrial. However, the hotel is near the ferry ports, so it is handy if you just want to crash there for the night and take your ferry the day after. Another point to note is that the A/C is quite noisy

The responsiveness, politeness, and the willingness to be of service runs throughout the staff at the Southpole. In many ways, they are still learning how to execute the necessary services a hotel needs to provide, but the learning curve shouldn't detract from the sincere desire to please in every way. From the Front Desk, to Housekeeping staff, to the bellhops, restaurant staff and the respective managers, without exception, they were brilliant.

Having to pay 100 pesos for a second blanket is not the way to treat guests, especially one staying for eight nights. Another area where there is room for improvement is in the buffet breakfasts. There were lenghthy waits before essential items were replenished. We also experienced a wait of over an hour for our food for an evening meal. In retrospect, however, these are relatively small inconveniences.

Room was spacious, strong wifi, comfortable bed, warm water in bathroom, clean. Breakfast simple but really good. Close to center of town, stores and bus terminal.

Door were not soundproof so was easy to hear whats going on corridor. Unfortunately instant coffee instead regular on breakfast. Although AC was strong and cold makes a lot of noise, so was impossible to have on for a night. So after a minutes in room was very warm.

The bed and pillow were very comfortable. And the personal was amazing and very reactive to any needs.

The sink literally fell off (hopefully the personal was fast in changing me room) and the water pressure from the shower wasn’t that great,

I like how near and walking distance it is to most of the tourist spots in the inner city, mall, restaurants etc. its really good for travellers that only needs to have a room to keep their belongings safe and for sleeping after a day tour. it is far from main tourist attractions like Oslob Whaleshark and Canyoneering Kawasan Falls but there's an option like a tour package that will pick you up in this hotel and also the Staff there helped us rent a car that brought us there. The Staff personnel are very approachable and accommodating.

the room doesn't have it's own trashbins and no floor mat for the feet after shower, so our room are all wet. no hot water in the shower either. the elevator are very slow and the down push button is not working so you need to take stares sometimes. but all in all it was okay for the price.
