Very clean and tidy Excellent food with big portions Staff were super friendly and very willing to assist

Meals and food were excellent but the order in which food was sometimes served was out of kilter with starters being served along with or after mains - so when ordering make sure you stipulate the order you want your food to come

This Resort is Family owned and developed with Thought and Welcoming = as soon as You Drive onto This Rightly Named "" Hideaway "" with Great Pool and Restaurant Facilities. Locally Employed Staff Who are always on hand to help with anything from blowing up a non swimming child pool aid because we had forgotten the air pump --- to helping without any edge with a calamity at Our Dining Table due to a boisterous and tired 2 year old after our car journey --- The Staff just on the scene in seconds calming the situation down --- All with No fuss, no embarrassment, all throughout with smiles and useful help without anyone else (guests) seemingly noticing ---- most families go through some stages of child(ren) tired tantrums but here it was played down and then an enjoyable mealtime with some great choices of food from a varied menu . The pool is a good size with again well thought out shape and children play depths to adult depths--- plus an enormous Sun Shade covering a good portion of the Pool --- again another thoughtful idea where kids are able to play for long periods without fear of Sun Burn . The Individual Designs of the Bed Rooms are well thought out with a cottage style arrangement eating area on the ground floor facing the pool where You can watch the kids and be comfortable at the same time --- plus catering choices delivered from the restaurant --- Again No Fuss --- just Simply Great Service --- I have holidayed in the area and whilst others --- Mainly business men --- have ''tried'' to emulate this ""Hideaway"" --- I Will Certainly Plan A Return Visit to Bakawan Hideaway Resort . We really enjoyed our stay there and it's perfectly called a hideaway, a good place to unplug and unwind. The place and rooms are clean and service is really good. The food was by far one of the best we had in southern leyte, you can tell they actually care about the quality of their food. Also the owner was very nice and accommodating. He asked us for feedback about their food and drinks and we can only sing our praises. I would 100% recommend this place.

The location of the place is quite far from other activities you can do in southern leyte.

The staff is so super nice, we're so thankful! We had health related issues and they have done an excellent job of helping and caring. The hotel is small, you can spend a good time there and it really feels like a Hideaway

Maybe as a western tourist coming to Leyte for the underwater world the location is not perfect

Of all the places we have been to this is by far the best ever. So clean so fresh love the location and the food was totally awesome great valve. The staff were fantastic went out of there way to accommodate and extremely impressed that management and owner went out of there way to talk ..totally awesome

Nothing this place is perfect

The cottage and pool were amazing. We met the owners and they were lovely and welcoming. The free breakfast was a nice addition.

We wanted a quiet relaxing time, but the music played from the restaurant was too loud. The AC in the room could be better -- it's too loud and inefficient in cooling the room. Please add more cocktail options. We were excited about the boodle fight, but we found out that it wasn't offered anymore which was disappointing.

The people, especially the owners were very accommodating. Great pool with a cabana under each room. Convenient to the town of Sogood. Well decorated and maintained and they are constantly adding. Hot water in the shower and great AC.

Rooms are small but the cabana gives a place to spread out.

The pool was great. There is a nice space under the rooms to chill out or do work. The staff were great. The breakfast/dining area was lovely and the food was delicious. Good dinner menu.

The room and bathroom were a bit small but manageable for two people.

The food quality in the restaurant was exceptional each time, and the staff were attentive and organised. Perfect place to relax and disconnect for a few days. The karaoke room was also a hit!
