I booked the hotel spontaneously because the train was cancelled. I was looking for a hotel that wasn't too far from the railway station and that I could check in at night. Everything worked out perfectly - the train was delayed, so I got to the hotel later than planned. But thanks to the video explaining how to find the hotel, the combination lock and clear instructions, I checked in without any problems. It was important to me that I had my own bathroom and could get a good night's sleep after a difficult journey. The room was small but clean, and everything I needed was there.

There was liquid soap in the bathroom, but not in the shower, which was a bit inconvenient.

This place is located pretty near to the railway station, just 7-8 minutes by taxi. Taking into account the price of room I think it's one of the most affordable ways to stay in Przemysl for transit visitors. The hostel has nice kitchen with lot of accessories. Also WC and shower are shared but very clean and good. Personnel is very helpful. I needed to call taxi, and that was hard due to closed gate on the yard entrance. Receptionist called the taxi and guarded it to be able to arrive through the gate.

When it's hot and windows of the room are open due to lack of aircon there is a risk to hear any noise from the outside. It can prevent sleeping. In my case there were two men talking very loud until 4am.

I’ve seen a fair share of cheap good-for-one-night-only places during my travels and this one is a very decent option. Small but clean room. Surprisingly good shower. Very straightforward check in with super detailed instructions sent in advance that included even a video (I’d never find the place without that video). Can’t comment on its location tho as I only stayed one night and I needed to be close to the train station. But it’s in a quiet neighborhood and the hostel was quiet too so nothing disturbed my sleep.

The bed was quite small and not particularly comfortable. Not a dealbreaker but could be better.

This the fifth or sixth review I have written for PTSM Matecynik because I stay there often in my approach to the Ukrainian Border. I use local busses to walk through the border and ride to Lviv. It takes 3 hours or less and cost me less than 10 Euro. Ask the Reception Point staff at the train station about how to do this. The staff and facilities at this hostel can only be improved with a coin operated washing machine and dryer as I have written in detail previously.

Currently eastern Europe is overwhelmed with young Russian and Ukrainian men avoiding military service. They are cowards cowering from their own governments. Most of them are children of Russian oligarchs or wealthy Ukrainians. Ukrainians without wealth are hiding in plain sight on the streets, busses and railways of Ukrainian cities and transport facilities. Sharing the same facilities with them can be unpleasant at times. PTSM Matecynik is no exception to this phenomena. The Polish state accepts this because their presence is healthy for the economy. They will never hit you because they face deportation to the waiting arms of the Army. But they use passive aggression to make YOU feel uncomfortable.

I chose a room for one, it was small, cozy and clean. There was a supply of soap, which not every hostel has. There was enough space for one person. I also really liked that the hostel was quiet. And that they took care of a video of how to get to the hostel, which was very useful, because I arrived very late and it was difficult to find my way around

I didn't like the bed very much, but it was generally good to sleep on it

Nice place for stay. I had transit and stayed there for one night. There was all the necessary staff in the common kitchen to make breakfast. In the single room I had comfortable bed and bathroom. Everything was clean and worked great. There was no anyone on reception in the evening but via phone we could contact in case of need. Entrance is made automatically through the indivisual code. It's convenient so that I shouldn't care of keys. That was a great benefit. Also the hostel wasn't too crouded. I didn't hear of them all the night.

My only one concern related a bit to location. In the weekend it's hard to find working caffee to eat nearby and supermarkets are closed on Sunday. So one should care bringing some food to the kitchen to cook it. Also taxi drivers refused to pass through the barrier (szlaban) and I had to walk some extra distance with my heavy lugguage to reach the location. It's not a problem although for those who don't have heavy bugs.

All in all good hostel with good clean facilities. When I was there it wasn't crowded at all and I also didn't meet any of the staff so cannot say anything about those two factors. Only thing slightly negative, if all, is the distance from the city center. But for this price more than acceptable.

Cleaning lady is very strict with the check-out times.

I have lost track of the amount of days and times I have returned to this location. This is an old european mansion made of concrete, bricks and mortar. It is cool in the summertime. It is tolerably warm in winter. It is large, spacious, and there is an echo with every loud sound. It is located close enough to the rail station that you needn't take a taxi. You may also use the local bus. Dormitories are great if you haven't grown tired of them. The kitchen facilities are adequate; one can avoid using restaurants for all your meals if you desire. There are three grocery stores within two blocks. Toilet/shower areas are plentiful, on each floor plus a large shower room adjacent the kitchen in the cellar.

Just recently the staff have altered the washing machine to allow more than telephone screen payment. I don't use that type of telephone. I was forced to take my laundry across town to a commercial laundry because there are no self serve laundries in Przmesyl. Another long term guest suggested the washing machine was there for 'display'. In my last visit I note that one is able to pay reception for a pass code which can be entered manually to wash clothing. To dry your cloths one has to hang them on the ONE cloths rack available. Can Booking.com encourage the installation of a cloths dryer?

The ensuite was fantastic - new, clean and spaci0ous. The three bed room had extra, extra space and two windows that let in the morning sun.

If you were on the top floor you had to walk down two floors to get hot water, even though there was space on the top floor to put a jug there. Im also not a fan of low beds

I became familiar with the coding system to enter the doors. I received door codes to my e-mail address because I do not possess a smart phone, but travel with a laptop. I have stayed here before and am completely familiar with staff. I am able to cook my own food in the kitchen. There are various grocery stores in either direction up or down the street. I cannot access american banking services, or use my Visa debit card within Ukraine due to american sanctions since 2014.

Because I do not own a smart phone, I could not wash my laundry. Operation of the machine is dependent on a smart phone delivered bar code. The driveway is of dirt and does not accommodate my heavy wheel bag.
