Friendly staff, helpful, not far from the city center, even walking is possible if you don’t mind a good walk though historic streets and exploring. Close to the railway station but if you explore there are different nice streets and ways to get to the hotel.

It is a good old but clean and renovated and well maintained building. I didn’t realize when booking but i stayed in this hotel 10 years ago! Which was a nice nostalgic experience. There is no elevator though. But there is a possibility to store luggage downstairs near reception.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, an elevator, and a tasty breakfast. A pretty spacious room is clean with a wonderful view to the old city, the garden, and the river, no traffic noise coming from the outside -- pure stillness and bliss. Bed linen, towels, toilet paper, mineral water are all available just like a bedside table with a working lamp on top. The bed was unusually low though comfy.

A total stillness from the outside was compensated by my neighbors chatting loudly well past midnight, which means the walls are rather thin. I wish there was a kettle in the room. The shower doors were partially broken, and the room overall looked a little shabby and somewhat old-fashioned. Be sure to take your own bath amenities and slippers because there are none in the room.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprising. The check-in in the middle of the night was smooth, the room was fairly big, very clean and the bed comfortable. The location is nice, by the river and in a pleasant area, if a little far from the train station, which is obviously my problem. The facilities are old, yes, but I was not expecting anything fancy: just a warm place to stay for the night. The shower and heating worked fine and overall I was satisfied with my choice.

Administration of the hotel helps with all questions and is always friendly. Registration is 24 hour, which is very comfortable, you never worry to be late. I like the possibility to leave the luggage in the special room and go for a walk if you come too early or if you check out but have time. Breakfast became much better in comparison with previous year. Thanks a lot for this improvement.

All is nice

location is pretty great and the city is very beautiful, there is a good view if you get the riverside number, the food is great if you buy breakfast included, there are plenty of cold cuts, cheeses, salads, sausages, jams, you can get a good fill in the morning they can order and pay for a taxi from reception, receptionists and staff were nice and friendly, receptionist knew a bit of english too has grocery stores and a diner nextdoor

we arrived at night, so restaurant and bar were closed and there wasn't any way to get something to eat or drink, other than the two small bottles of water that were complementary in the room also unrelated to the hotel is that I couldn't find a taxi at the train station to get to it (though its only 1.7 km walk), so prepare in advance! or ask the hotel to call you one (I didn't think to try it at the time)

Fine quality overall, not far from the station, great selection of food for breakfast, all for a very modest price

A few minor things: some prankster has unscrewed light bulb in the lamp on the night stand (but I was onto it), some hook a bit loose in the bathroom, toilet slow to refill after flushing, half of bed mattress was worn out (but I was alone so just slept on the other half).

They are caring and respect foreign guests. unlike the Soviet mentality of the other hotels in this city.

I should have spent a few pounds on a taxi to this hotel many years ago. Anyway, it's extremely sensible to stay here because without mentioning names. (near the train station) this hotel is laughing all the way to the bank. I say this because they are taking advantage of the war (shame on them) The other hotels are extremely basic and very soviet style. Go to this hotel because they are caring and it works out much cheaper.

Bedding and room was slightly dated but that said was clean and offered good value for money.

The hotel has a very traditional interior, the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in the picturesque area with the windows overlooking the river and trees. Very relaxing and beautiful! I leked the zone where the guests have breakfast, you can eat inside and outside, enjoy the the fresh air and the green area. I loved it!

I could not find the hair dryer. Maybe, it was not included in the price or I just did not see it and I did not ask the receptionist about it. For me it was not a problem, but for some people a hairdryer is essential.

En route to Ukraine, this is the place from which to launch your trip. If visiting the city, likewise. Perfectly decent hotel - Welcoming staff, always helpful. (With the war in Ukraine continuing, and Poland ascendant, they could spend a bit on improving this hotel, and charge a little more for that extra degree of comfort.) Ed Vulliamy The Guardian

They need to ensure all rooms are adequately furnished - I had a good desk at which to work one time, but had to ask for a chair. It was, of course, immediately provided.
