Really good breakfast with a lot of variety. Very friendly staff. The room size was amazing, everything was big, from the bathroom to the bed, and the balcony was perfect to sit and enjoy nature! The facilities have a free inside and outside pool, a jacuzzi and a Turkish bath. There is a spa, with some treatments like massages that you will have to pay extra but the prices seemed pretty reasonable to me.

The inside pool is not that big and there are a lot of little kids, which is normal, but not that relaxing… the size should be bigger for the amount of guests that use the pool

We had a wonderful stay at Monte Prado Hotel & Spa! The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and offering peaceful views that instantly make you feel relaxed. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely view. The bed was comfortable, and we truly appreciated the tranquility of the surroundings. The spa was a great addition to our experience, providing a perfect way to unwind. The indoor pool and relaxation areas were well-maintained, making it easy to spend a peaceful afternoon there. Breakfast was delicious, with a good selection of fresh and tasty options. If you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy nature, and have a peaceful retreat, this is a great choice! We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to return.

We were quite disappointed to be charged for parking in an outdoor lot, especially in a location where there are no alternative transportation options and no other parking spaces nearby. It felt unreasonable and somewhat out of place for a hotel of this level. When you come to a place like this to relax and enjoy the experience, an unexpected extra charge for something as basic as parking leaves a sour impression. For an elegant hotel, this policy truly lacks the elegance and hospitality one would expect :(((

The hotel is located in a great area, really calm and beautiful. The check in was fast and smooth and the personnel really friendly. The room was clean and big with great views over the forest and swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stayed. We had dinner at the restaurant and portions were super big and all food was really tasty. Breakfast was also varied and good.

The only area of improvement is the spa, we went there and the main pool water was quite cold, many of the saunas/showers did not work, and in a cold day, it was only one jacuzzi that had a higher temperature. Also, there were many kids shouting and running around, which is not expected of a spa, where you are looking to relax. If the spa was on the right temperature and there were no kids running around, this place would be a 10 out of 10.

The hotel has magnificent views. The room was very large and spacious, so was the bathroom. Very comfortable bed, clean sheets and towels. Excelent breakfast and restaurant, and spa facilities (interior pool, turkish bath and jacuzzi - which had clean water even at the end of the day).

Although the restaurant is great, I do not recommend the risotto. Plus, i found it very unpleasant to be charged to park my car in an outside parking, when there are no other means of transportation and no other parking spots near! For an elegant hotel, this attitude lacks elegance.

I come here at least 2 times each year so... that speaks by itself 🙂. Everything it's amazing unless you love noise and lot of anarchy. In that case, go find another place. Nature, pure air, the facilities, the spa, the food at the restaurant, you name it. I love autumnal colors and the flowers from Spring. But Winter it's great too. Summer is nice for the exterior pool. Fishing salmon and trouts. Mountain biking. Finding and picking wild mushrooms at this season it's a must. Birdwatching it's amazing too. And Spain...it's just at the other side of the Minho river. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Location was absolutely amazing, breathtaking scenery, all rooms faced the mountains, they were very large and spacious, comfy beds and great showers. A fabulous location if you love walking, bird watching or just to chill out and enjoy the fabulous views. Breakfast was good and also enjoyed a nice evening meal. Staff all pleasant and friendly.

Very slow service for reserved dinner at 9 pm, we arrived promptly but after we were taken to our table we waited 15 minutes for service and a drink at our table before ordering food that arrived 1 hour later😏 The internal swimming pool and Jacuzzi were too cold, not heated enough.

Quiet, comfortable, great setting near the river. Indoor pool and hot tub very nice. Excellent breakfast.

Tiny ants that loved the bar fridge . Arrived in the evening and the restaurant was fully booked, it would have been nice to know we had to reserve in advance

Well, I am a frequent costumer. This is my 3rd time... i. 2022 so, for sure I like it 🙂. Difficult it's to find what I don't like here. Hmmm, I will try next time, to find something I don't like there. First, reception. All of the girls and boys there are fantastic. I talked with Beatriz (Hi, Beatriz). She is so nice, you will feel it by your heart. Then the room, with a view! Amazingly big room, amazing bed, amazing simplicity. Bathroom the same. Wi-Fi is excellent. Of course is clean, what do you expect for a 4 star hotel! What a question! Then the SPA, from the pool, jacuzzi and Turkish bath. Just come and feel it. I came last Winter, then Summer and now, Autumn. Each season have its own flavour, look outside from the indoor pool or jacuzzi and you will be straight to a peaceful place, no matter if you were stressed before! Get a massage if you need. Then go for a walk outside, by the wooden walkway. You will hear the Minho river, 150 meters away, the river that separates Portugal from Spain. Yes, out there it's Spain, so close. You can walk to Spain. I do mountain bike, so.. I use to go there by bike. Do you love fishing? Come between March and end of July for incredible trout and even Salmon fishing! Most ppl don't know, but there are wild salmon in the river Minho, the only one in Portugal with Salmon. Time for dinner at the hotel restaurant. Choose one of the many incredible dishes, from starters to desserts and enjoy life. Are you here to relax, right? Don't expect anything else but relaxation and peace. What I didn't like? Hmmm Stays here are always too short 🤣. Three nights are not enough. Kidding, but yes, I could be here an entire month because I love nature, I love spas, I love mountain biking, I love fishing, I love clear skies (one of my hobbies are astrophotography so... you get it why).

The hotel is nestled in a forest with several walking trails nearby. The Pool and Sauna were excellent, the water was just at the right temperature. An excellent breakfast can be savored by admiring the wonderful view of the forest and mountains.

They charge for parking which makes absolutely no sense given the amount of space available on premises and around the hotel.
