I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ideas Peregrinas Albergue. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for, especially by the warm and friendly host, Monica. She went above and beyond to make my stay special – even offering me a room upgrade for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. The albergue itself is in a perfect location, right in the heart of Tui’s charming city centre. It made exploring the town so easy, with everything just a short walk away. One of the highlights of the stay was the beautiful organic café on-site. The coffee was exceptional – some of the best I’ve had along the Camino – and the relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind or chat with fellow travellers. The facilities were also excellent. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you might need, which was especially appreciated after a long day of walking. Everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. I highly recommend Ideas Peregrinas to any pilgrim or traveller looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and unique place to stay in Tui. I’ll definitely be coming back!

One of my favourite Camino stays – feels like home This was my second time staying here while walking the Camino, and I absolutely love it. The place is beautiful, with really comfortable rooms, even the shared ones offer great privacy with individual curtains, reading lights, and thoughtfully designed spaces. There are two spacious, beautifully decorated living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your own meals, and clean, well-maintained bathrooms. It truly feels like a home away from home. Downstairs is a gorgeous café with fantastic coffee and delicious breakfast options. There’s also a lovely outdoor spot perfect for reading or relaxing. It’s well located, charming, and absolutely worth paying a bit more than a typical pilgrim albergue. I’ll definitely be back.

Room was exceptionally clean. Staff was very helpful. Location was excellent.

The door locks were not working properly. The hot water pilot light had gone out and after a long day of walking. 30+ kilometres all I wanted was a hot shower. It took about an hour for it to work. They were quick to try and fix it. The first person that tried was not successful. I had to go down to the front desk again and ask a different Gentleman that worked there. He was able to get the pilot light going and then I had hot hot water. Compared to the other hostels I have stayed in along my Camino The breakfast not being included was disappointing.

I loved everything. The rooms were amazing! The bed as super comfortable! The hosts were incredible and the cafe is a must.

The rooms face the street with most movement at night, so it’s pretty noisy. If you closed the window since the rooms don’t have AC, you would cook inside (it was a hot night). The kitchen doesn’t have a lot of things (like the basic olive oil, tea, or even a colander for example). There is only one induction plaque to cook. Take this as a warning if you like to cook like me

It had an organized kitchen, washing machine, dryer and fridge. The bedroom of 4 was roomy enough. Right at the city center which was great, next to restaurants and the Cathedral. Staff was very friendly. Really enjoyed it. Had breakfast outside just by the front door and the sunrise was great iluminaring the old town alleys. The hostel store was quite handy for local food, souvenirs and hiking accessories.

There was the Patron Festivities that day and the night was not great due to the noise on the street.

I loved this stay on the camino! Best albergue I have been in, great location everything is near and the albergue has everything you need - kitchen with dining room, living room and also, what absolutely amazed me - A YOGA ROOM!!! This was amazing since on the camino every day before and after the walk I love to stretch and do a short strength exercise like push ups, plank etc. This albergue has a perfect room for this and with a view on the river 😍 The best!!!

I loved everything!

A beautiful hostel in the centre of Tui - very clean, stylish decor and great location. They have a lovely seating area outside for breakfast, a coffee or a beer. The best thing about the hostel are the staff, very friendly and helpful - Diego was at the hostel when I checked in and was very helpful. Another man in the morning - unfortunately I did not get his name - helped me plan my Camino I highly recommend a stay here.

The Wi-Fi in the room did not work.

It’s overall pretty clean. I appreciate that the dining area is kept very clean. Best part is the location! The washer and dryer worked well.

It was very hot in the room and the fan was too weak even at the highest speed and it was wobbly. There could be some hangers in the bedroom and a holder for personal toiletries provided in the shower area. The washing machine was mouldy at the rubber part of the door area - a common issue for front load machines.

We had an absolute darling double room - painted sunshine yellow. So cozy & cute. The kitchen and living room were spotless. There is no communal meal (as in a typical albergue); but their cafe downstairs seved us an super-tasty sandwich - tomatoes, avocados & fried egg on a big slice of baguette - delicious. They also sell hiking gear (limited), but because all the other shoe-stores were closed, I was able to buy a pair here that saved the rest of my walk to Santiago!!!

Location is great, right on the Camino, 20m from the Cathedral and 50m from several restaurants, so good choice there. Beds are comfortable and rooms have that (annoying) electronic lock. Washer&dryer available (fee). There is a coffee-shop dowstairs for breakfast in the morning.

Minuscule toilets and small showers, difficult for an XL individual. No real place to self wash/dry clothes other than a small sink in a laundry /area where machines are located so clothes didn’t dry overnight. Room 103 door needs urgent WD-40 because it creaks and makes a lot of noise during the night when everyone is asleep and people go to bathroom.
