We stayed at Malaposta as part of a wedding group. Everything was fantastic, the staff were warm and welcoming. Our wedding meal was incredible too. The pool was great, and right opposite our room too. There was a fiesta happening outside at the local church… entertaining if not a little distracting when the bride and groom were saying their vows.( not the hotels fault) Our accommodation was split onto 2 floors. Simply decorated and more than enough for us. We didn’t use the little kitchen. Thank you for a very memorable stay, hopefully back some day.

This hotel has a beautiful and very relaxing garden with a lovely swimming pool. The breakfast room and the modern part of the hotel is very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, varied and high quality. It was very nice to have in the room a Nespresso machine, and a bottle of water that is refiled by the hotel, which I appreciated as a gesture to reduce plastic waste. The staff (Carlos and Catarina) were incredibly nice and helpful.

The rooms are a little bit monastic, which was ok for a short stay.

This is a beautiful setting. Our room was the bridal suite and was very specious- lots of room! The shower was in a tower! Our host was very special telling us about our room and making sure we had what we needed. It’s a little far from the Camino river walk but worth the extra effort. Breakfast was the best!

We were surprised that for the bridal suite the bed wasn’t a better quality mattress. We both kept rolling into the middle and so didn’t sleep as well.

Our feedback is a big dose of praise for your very hard working receptionist and maître d´ and server and almost personal assistant Ms CATARINA who welcomed us with a big smile in very good English upon arrival and assisted settling into our rooms. She was a perfect host helping us with every wish we had or explanation we needed such as instantly serving us coffee tea water or even any part of the dishes we still asked for, be it corn flakes, bread rolls, how to handle the coffee machine or bringing alternative coffee when needed, fruit compote etc etc – we felt she was part of our family. Also every morning she would great us so warmly and was continuously ready to give us any guidance we needed, all the time displaying great human warmth and interest into her guests. We live in Japan where excellent service and readiness to work hard are a nationwide standard, and I and my whole family all agreed that she fully matched those standards and even exceeded that! So we all are extremely glad to have met her and thank you for having employed her in such a prominent position as the face and representative of your beautiful hotel where we had such a wonderful stay full of happiness for our family ranging 3 generations! Also I want to praise the cleaning staff for their friendliness and so helpful language ability in French! We thank you for a wonderful stay at Quinta Malaposta!

suggestions: non-functioning (bathroom) doors, loose shower hooks better functioning bathroom amenities like a complete set of bodysoap/gel shampoo conditioner with much better dosing tops.

gorgeous and quiet location, the property and the gardens are full of charm, the room was a decent size for a couple and one single adult/child.. shower was good with decent pressure and plenty of hot water, coffee facilities was a nice touch, and breakfast was lovely and varied, staff were all super friendly.

single bed was creaky and uncomfortable, kitchen didn't have much kitchenware and not enough coffee pods

I staid at Quinta da Malaposta during low season. The hotel is set in a historical building with a wonderful garden. Hanging around at the end of the afternoon was such a treat. So peaceful, beautiful and it smelled so good. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The staff was very kind and thoughtful. I highly recommend!

Beautiful historic property with lovely grounds. Spacious apartment. Comfortable bed.

No open restaurant on site in the evening so you need your arrive prepared with your own food as it’s quite a way to walk back into town. Breakfast a bit late at 9am for Camino pilgrims.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very cozy. Carlos the host and manager was very personable. He also served up a proper cappuccino. Also the location is a perfect location a couple of minutes walk from the historic downtown.

We stayed here for one night during Camino portuguese. The place is very beautiful and it’s just on the way of Camino. Staff is very friendly and responsive.

We got a suite apartment and it was not possible to lock the doors for night from the inside. The wifi is not great.

Beautiful old buildings, delightful garden, good room and facilities and very friendly staff

There were no problems. We were on bikes so getting into the village for a meal was no problem. It would be harder for walkers.
